  • New Achievements for Balance in the game.

I've long maintained that CA is a game that offers a very rich landscape and balance is needed to truly appreciate how rich the landscape is.

But it has gotten a bit out of balance and it's time to right the scales just a bit, IMVHO. One way to do this would be to have a greatly expanded tier of achievements for wins on the battle field and for kills (times you eliminated an opponent.)

    1. This would benefit all players, regardless of level or rank.

    2. It would bring the PvP aspect of the game somewhat back in balance with the questing and monster hunting.

    3. It would revive some interest in the game for those who are have left it or on the verge of leaving it.

    Aki
CA is a journey which rewards patience, balance, knowledge and efficiency. It eventually penalizes rashness, single-mindedness, ignorance and waste. Your journey is not my journey. It can not or should not be. But, if the Spirits are kind, each of our journeys will be better for having shared a portion of them with each other.

That's a great idea Barry, now if you can just get them to do it

If they could reward this properly, the current rewards for pvp ranks (of whatever name) are just sad in comparison to the monster loots. Even make a collectible for every 100 kills so you could craft some useful item.

I agree. I for one, am one of the players that #3 speaks to, but 1 and 2 would be true if implemented. CA has held little interest for me for nearly a year now. I quit for a while and have come back a little, part time only and that's only because of my loyalty to the great friends and people of Legends. All I do is battle, quest and get my daily prayer - and all this is basically to maintain some semblance of the character I once had and have a little fun with Legends members. I quit a very successful Victis Honor guild because guild battles SUCK and I have no interest in fighting monsters to gather wood, iron and whatever other crap is there. Boring and little reward for the time put in.

I haven't hunted a monster in many months, I don't even bother to fill my Elite Guard or send/receive gifts. What's the point of wasting all that time?

Generals mean next to nothing except in War and that ship has long since sailed. Items, Armor and those kind of things mean next to nothing. (if you think those things really make a difference, you're blind). What's the point of getting these things when they don't help you at all? Trophies? Yay (sarcasm)

The Arena's have gotten worse and worse since the 2nd season and all this game is geared towards is who can spend the most money the fastest. It's a joke so I treat it like one. The game sucks.

I would like to see more achievements, but not just for PvP.

I'd like to see some of the Monster achievements scaled a bit higher. Like Skaars, Genesis, Hydras, Dark Legions, and basically all the other monsters we have, so that higher level players still have an incentive to help lowbies with them.

And can we get freaking achievements for Azriel already? Damn!

Agreed Barry, although there is a pure joy in chaining someone down for no other reason than to make that red button go away, achievements would be nice. I have always said a sliding scale of worth based on the +/- of level of your target would be great. Chaining someone down 500 levels would not bring the same value as chaining someone 100 levels above. A real reward for the people that invest in their BSI.

I agree and fully support Aki on this. Achievements for pvp would be a very nice addition, I mean what else do we hit other people for... (insert evil laugh) not like we are addicted to hatemail or anything.

Have to agree with Aki on his suggestions for new achievements and I'd like to urge the CA devs to take some time and really consider listening to the players on what ideas they would find more enjoyable in playing this game. I'd also add to Barry's idea by including a defensive wins category in Keep/Stats Tab and for achievements. There are some people with outstanding defensive builds, yet a defensive win just gets thrown into Battles Won category; it be nice to be able to differentiate between offensive and defensive. Another idea for achievements have been raised many times by multiple players, higher levels of assists on weapons for monsters/bosses...100 is just plain archaic...there are a few over 50k assists and they should be rightfully rewarded. Another idea would be achievements for personal stats, i.e. 5k Attack, 10k Defense, 25k Stamina etc...Hall of Fame could be introduced to showcase the player with the highest attack in the game, player with the highest kills in the game...etc
