  • no reward for little damage

a friend of mine was busy working the last day and a half, he did about 4,000 damage which I know is nothing but the dragon was killed. he recieved a message that he has to do more damage to collect rewards.

has this happened to anyone else?

If so what is the lowest minimum you can inflict to recieve a reward or two.

Wow, I'm liking this a lot! Seems like they finally responded to our suggestion to do something against the vultures who just leave a couple of hits and never come back but still want the reward.
I don't know what the minimum is, and to be honest, I don't want to try. Might be just a random number, like 5000 or 10 000. Might be a percentage... depending on how much damage everybody has done to a dragon?

Not just the vultures. I finished with a friends red and jumped in on a gold. I did 40,000 damage and was waiting on stamina when the dragon was killed. I received nothing. So not sure what the cutoff is but you must have to be pretty high in the damage list to receive rewards. It also looks like they may have reduced rewards. I was 4th in damage on the red and I have gotten better rewards from greens.

BTW don't think I was complaining in my earlier post I think it is great that the dragons are getting more challenging. Although it is gonna suck for new players trying to be slayers. Slayers will definately need to be stamina builds now so that you can attack often enough to stay near the top.

40K and got no reward? Thats pretty silly :|
If they have put the requirements that high it would be darned difficult to get rewards when fighting dragons outside your timezone :P

I did 50k on a dragon the other day and received very little at all. Like a Lich and a demi point. I have been trying to do 2-3 dragons at a time, and spread my stamina around, but CA has been sticking me in redirect loops. lol

He said 4k, not 40k. That's like 1 power hit, which puts him in the category of vulture for that battle. I couldn't be happier that they've implemented this new feature.

Ya, I just joined late and did around 3600 and got the same message. I won't join late again that's for sure... I'll also have to think of pumping my stamina so I can do more dmg too. I've been getting by on 3... :/

Read it again, he did say 40K. That's a lot of stamina to lose with no reward.

Sounds like they're doing it on a percentage basis now, which I don't like at all, as it gives no incentive to assist people who need help in the final stages of dragon combat, when they need it most.

something dont sound right there, he said 40k but with our group its nothing for us to kill 10 to 20 dragons a day and like cthula i spread my stamina out over all the targets to help the group which equates on average about 25-50k and I do get rewards on the 25k but on the other hand if its based on a couple hit and runs than that makes sense. Regardless this does make sense to stop vulturing but i do hope they dont lower rewards overall or the fun part will be taken out of it and ppl will stop fighting them. 'shruggs" im sure the dev's will come up with a medium that will make us happy they've been doing a fine job so far

I was referring to the OP's posting, not the follow-up. 40k damage AND 4th in overall damage with no rewards? Hmmm, possible, but I'd have to see some screen shots to be convinced of that claim.

Hmm I dont know about fighting two or three as I fight 1 at a time but even the worst loot I have received has been pretty good.I had 1 gold that payed good but the reds give really good loot.I get alot of castles and sky keeps as well as favor points as many as 6 one time.I think that if you just fight one stay there and dont use you stamina on battles thats how you get the best loot. the lest I have been awarded both times I went back after someone that attacked me.I dont care about my rank right now as the dragons are droping loot that takes weeks of questing to aquire.I think that anyone that is going for rank right now unless they are very high lecvel right now,is going to regret it later.some of the drops are very hard to get questing.not to mention I am leveling at about 3 times the rate I was before. This is really great castle age is getting better and better. Thanks

Sorry no screenshots I didn't think about it at the time. I just figured that Castle Age was gonna start really making you work for it now. So I have rethought my dragon strategy go in only if I have full stamina and have a chance of taking the top spot. I never liked the idea of vulturing on people dragons. Also the last 2 dragons I got rewards on I didn't get any favor points at all and 1 of these I was top damage on the other I was second.

favor points are not an automatic reward. Everything is a gamble. Sometimes they give you the sky sanc vs. the favor point... other times someone else gets the SS and you get the favor pt.

Having top damage just gives you much better chances and hording the majority of the good loot... NOT A Guarantee tho.
