Forum Rules [Updated 12/21/2016]

MAIN RULES OF THE FORUMS

Please respect your community. Respect each other as you all enjoy the same thing – The Game.

We encourage open and friendly discussion of the game and the Community. Moderators and Staff have final decisions on all matters, and are here to make sure that the Community remains a friendly, fun place appropriate for players of all backgrounds, ages and groups.

It is the forum member's responsibility to stay up to date on forum rules and to honor the behavior outlined.

PURPOSE OF THE FORUMS

These forums provide an area for constructive player discussions of the game. It also allows players to
help each other identify bugs and issues, and help each other reproduce and resolve them.

These forums are not the most direct way to contact support. If you’re having an issue with your game and you need direct assistance, please tap on the FAQ/Support tab within the game.

CHANGES OR IMPROVEMENT

Please make sure to stay updated on these rules by reviewing this page from time to time.

This is a private board. As such, decisions made are final.
We reserve the right to remove any message board content without notice for any reason.


Rule 1: Responses to rule violations
Violating these rules will result in warnings, either formal or informal, suspensions, banning, or other sanctions.

Rule 2: Respect other users on the forums
- Do not make attacks or insult other users, either in the forums or through private messages. Disagreements and debates are fine, but don’t make it personal.
- Do not attack groups. This includes professions, races, religions, sexual orientations, genders, incomes, or even vague groups like “you people.”
- Do not use ill terms which are offensive to groups, do not “flame”, “troll.” or “haze”.

Rule 3: Respect the forum purpose and structure
- Make your posts in the appropriate forum.
- Please use the Search function. If a relevant thread already exists, please post there instead of creating a new thread about the same topic. Duplicate threads will be closed to keep the forums orderly and easy to navigate.
- Keep off-topic posts in the off-topic forum.
- Don’t start discussions about games that are not ours.
- Do not cross-link to other message boards or websites unless approved by a moderator.

Rule 4: Respect the law
- Do not post anything illegal under U.S. law, or encourage other users to break the laws of the U.S. or their country of residence.
- Do not encourage users to break terms of service. This includes giving information about how to find scripts, exploits, or cheats, as well as arranging to buy or sell accounts or virtual goods.

Rule 5: Respect the audience
Think about who you're talking to. Users may be as young as 13 on these message boards, and may be male or female, and from countries across the globe.
- Keep your language civil. Profanity is frowned on.
- Do not post Adult Material, inappropriate graphic sexual content in any format, or links to sexually explicit sites.
- Do not post graphic images or explicit descriptions of violent acts.
- Do not use an avatar or signature that could offend other users. They have to look at it a lot.

Rule 6: Respect privacy
- Do not post any private emails or private messages unless you have the explicit permission of each person involved in the exchange.
- Do not post private communication between customer support, members, moderators, or administrators on these forums, or anywhere else. (This include support ticket responses)
- Do not post any information covered by a non-disclosure agreement or beta testing agreement. Even if you somehow have inside information about our competitors, for legal reasons we don’t want to hear it.
- Do not post Facebook information about other forum users.
- Do not post any private information about other users.
- Do not post in-game information in an attempt to have other players attack your target. Be careful to not cross the line into bullying.

Rule 7: Do not spam
- Do not post repeatedly about the same topic.
- Do not spam users on the forums or through private messages.
- Do not start a thread without actual purpose.
- Do not start a thread about a news story or article unless you make it clear what the story is about, and offer your own opinion to start a discussion.

Rule 8: Respect your account
- Do not share your account information with other individuals. You will be held responsible for any rules violations that occur under your account.
- Do not create new accounts or use other tricks to avoid suspensions or bans.
- Do not create ‘sock puppet’ accounts – multiple accounts created just so that you can agree with yourself and make it seem like your ideas have more support than they do.
- Never include your e-mail address or any other personal information in posts.

Rule 9: Respect the Moderators
- Do not post using the color red. This color is reserved for moderators.
- Do not impersonate moderators. Do not claim to speak for the moderators.

Rule 10: Respect the decisions of the moderators
- The moderation teams reserves the right to warn, suspend, or permanently ban users judged to be acting against the spirit of the rules, even if the user is following the letter of the rules.
- Do not argue with moderators about moderator decisions. You can disagree with a moderator’s opinions, just like any other poster, but when they post moderator actions in red text, it is considered final.
- Moderators have no access to your game account. If you have an issue you must contact customer service.

Generally, BE NICE. There is nothing wrong with being nice to each other.

  • 100v100 - Things that need fixing/looking at

    Figured a thread to list all that is wrong with 100vs100 in the first post would help devs keep track/discover what needs fixing. The other 100v100 thread is getting really long and hard to follow.

    I will list a few things I have personally noticed, but would like input from you guys too, as I doubt I am aware of all the bugs.
    • [fb/web3] Targeting system doesn't work.
    • [All?]Player removed from battle when attempting to swap with someone else.
    • [All?]100vs100 points Don't show up in the battle tab on guild member list when collected.
    • [Fb/web3]On the Home page, in the news feed tab, the button that leads to 100vs100 could use some changes. A timer for when battle is ongoing to show how much time is left. When battle ends change to "Collect now" instead of "Battle now".
    • [All] Tripping is still a major issue
    • [All]Matching system seems a bit...random?


    Would really appreciate help in making this list as comprehensive as possible.

    I can tell you that tripping is also an issue for iOS. Judging from the cursing I see from my guildies on a daily basis anyway.

        Did they fix that thing about the wall that Elandal posted yet? Switching stunned players?

        Just posting these as I think of them. lol

          You might want to save a spot in that list for the iOS UI since that is still very much a work in progress and may require additional adjustments once they roll out the interface toggle option.

              Works for me.

              Personally I think it defeats the purpose of killing the wall if it can't really be zeroed but we'll see what others say.

                I don't believe so, and it really needs to be fixed. If you have a few live clerics in the keep, you can swap them (first to the wall tower, and then to any other tower) to completely zeroed towers at the end of the battle, smiting up each of the towers. Effectively, we've gone from needing to zero all clerics in a tower to lock it; then (after the introduction of mass healing), to needing to zero an entire tower to lock it; and now, to needing to zero every opposing cleric in all towers in order to lock it. So, unless the battle is a complete mismatch (where one side can zero every opposing cleric), every battle will boil down to the last minute and be determined by who can swap and smite while working through trips and blue swirls. And I won't bother getting into how this will encourage pw sharing....

                Considering how overpowering the keep and null abilities are, combined with the wall ability's advantages, I'd expect every four tower guild to eventually use only these abilities (2 null towers, keep, and wall). The new abilities hold a lot of promise to make the game strategically more interesting, but this won't happen if these abilities are so overpowering as to render the rest meaningless. I suggest that: (1) null ability is nerfed (or all other dmg/heal/splash/evade/def abilities are ungraded), and (2) the wall ability is changed so that stunned players can't swap, and the number of swaps (or times during which swaps can occur) is more limited.

                  Agreed, stunned players should not be able to use wall swap. Swapping should require that both the character using it and the target are both unstunned. That's how other skills and abilities work.

                    • [FB/WEB3 ] Setting times is still bugged. If you try to choose 3 times they won't stick after you leave that screen. Also game says some guilds have battled 4 out of 3 times today. Obviously this still needs looking at.
                    • [fb/web3] There is no leaderboard outside of the iOS app yet.
                    • [All] The Elemental tower seems too weak?
                    • [All] Other than the null towers, no other tower powers appear to influence runes. Gaining 25% of 75-120 base heal is an useless power for church (though the addition to splash heal is ok). Possibly make all towers that give extra dmg/heal apply to all damage, not just base dmg.
                    • [All] Consider removing the swap ability from stunned players in the Castle Wall.
                    • [All]Matching system seems a bit...random? No challenging battles for my guild yet. Maybe the system needs more time for guilds to settle into proper ranks, or maybe your matching algorithm needs work.
                    • [iOS]UI is terrible currently. Hopefully when the new UI is released I will be able to take this point down.


                    Would really appreciate help in making this list as comprehensive as possible.
                    -Battle chat log doesn't exist. Needs added. It's planned.
                    -Tripping is beyond my scope, I know it's been actively looked at and continues to be.
                    -3 a day battles times is noted and being fixed (beta ect ect)
                    -FB/web leaderboard is done just needs pushed
                    -Elemental Towers buffs all elemental piercing effects you have. So if you have all 4 elements all 4 get buffed. We can tune this tower.
                    -Null tower is likely to become a ONE of tower only.
                    -Swap ability can be tested out against alive players only. I'll look into getting that in soon.
                    -Assault tower was recently changed to augment the entire damage stack "Total Damage". We're going to work on keying terms as "base damage" and "total damage". Base damage is damage dealt before extra effects, total damage is augmenting the end result number then adding a bonus. Assault tower has been significantly better as a result (basically +15% dmg to dmg runes and beyond).
                    -List option UI is already being worked on and previewed as a toggle option, no need to beat a dead horse. Use the sticky thread to offer additional suggestions in that regard.

                      I wonder. Could dead clerics in church gate splash heal whilst dead? That would be on the same level as dead players being able to swap.

                        I have seen the pics. Will remove that point when it's actually pushed. Same for leaderboard.

                        As far as elemental tower goes, it gives 40 elemental power, 10 to each? Maybe if it gave a bit of extra dmg or something it would be OK. Like the Assault tower.

                              I will add a link then to the OP. (I had already mentioned a new UI was almost done)

                              Edit done, I think it reflects the current status of bugs/balance issues well.

                              If anything else is wrong with 100vs100, please let me know so I can add it to the OP.
