We (Big spenders) would like to inform you (Devs) that we stop spending a single FPs as you have screw up the festival battle on iOS. The majority of iOS players are unhappy of your new 100vs100. Previous festival battle on iOS was high competitive where most of FB accounts and iOS account are on iOS guilds. Most big spenders are on iOS guilds. We now have no interest to build up account to strong and complete on new iOS festival battle any longer until we see an improvement, if not we're prob quit this game.

Classic battle is boring - no competitive.

If anyone was on iOS guilds, you know what the top guilds battle like.

I don't want to deter you, but FB has a long, long, LONG glorious history of failing completely.

If you get a good result, more power to you, but....just saying....history and the odds are not on your side.

I realize it is difficult to adjust to change, and that the iOS side did lose a battle opportunity each day with the current restrictions on 100v100; however, this change was not done without some thought by the devs. They found a way to unify and attempt to equalize the two player bases.

Change is rarely easy. We get so used to the way things were, that it is understandable to be upset. If we gve the devs time to make tweaks based on feedback for balancing and such, I think most of us will find the new system an interesting change of pace from the classic battle style--which itself had changed several times since it was first introduced in 2010. I remember when they added the rule about stunned under 200 taking away our abilities. There was quite an uproar from players then too, including myself. We soon got used to it though and found ways to work it into our strategy. Every time new powers were added for the classes, it also was looked upon with disfavor as well, yet here we are.

Let's give something new a go, shall we? So far the devs have been alright at making a fun and addicting game. Can we give them the benefit of the doubt that this change might be okay too?

The IOS 100v100 format is unplayable.

The new gate abilities/swapping seem cool, but we're too pissed off by the clunkiness of the format to bother.

We've all stopped spending. Many of the top guilds are boycotting.

Please revert to former guild battle format. Then, maybe, you will get the feedback you would like about the new features.

I'm actually embarrassed to be seen playing Castle Age since all the new graphics. It looks silly. When people in my life ask me what I'm doing, I used to explain that it is a text-based strategy game. Now it looks like a roll playing fantasy anime mess.

Functionality over graphics. Give us back our battle times. Reformat our towers. Guilds are falling apart or not battling at all.

            Thank you.

Well, if they revert to the former guild battle format, there won't be any new features, because they are two completely different systems.

In hindsight, though, it looks like they would have been much better off if they had added the new 100x100 battles as a new feature, and gotten all of the bugs out, before turning the old format off. And, called it something other than 100x100, as most of the iOS users on the Forums seem to have trouble understanding that this is something new and different, not a modification of your old iOS 100x100 battles.

b.t.w., if I had $1 for every time I saw an 'I'll never spend again' post in the forums, I'd be much, much higher level by now, as I would have rolled all of the money into buying reloads...

Except, high likelihood the servers would just fall down dead. I suspect that's much of the reason it's been moved to 2 battles already. They're pushign it as it as allowing 10v10 to continue when 100v100 is meant to be the next 'season'.

Personally I am not a fan of the new system. Again back to the runes that some of us had invested a lot of money into only to have it so you can build something to reduce it by 50% so he higher your tune is the more screwed you get

I remember reading a similar thread when the succubus came out, yet you guys are still spending since you made this thread. So much for big-spender-boycotting lol

If only there was a way to quickly and easily upgrade them...

Well, you're right, that would be bad, lol. Although, one can always upgrade one's hardware, it gets cheaper every year. I know, I've worked in IT for over 30 years now. And, I'd be surprised if they were still hosting locally, and not leasing space in Amazon's server farm, to be honest. That gives you much more on-demand scalability, ditto on resolving any bandwidth issues - you don't have to have more lines run, you just make a phone call, and there you go.

Also, if they were running both in parallel, they could test the new system in a much more limited fashion, with only one battle per day (since the others would still be going on), which would cut down on the load/duplication, set it up on an opt-in only basis, so that all the available slots didn't get gobbled up as soon as it opened, etc. They could also test on one platform at a time, to get some of the functionality bugs worked out, as they did by doing the initial testing of the new General Alliances only on web3. In hindsight, bringing it up only on web3, and/or FB, as a replacement for the FB's old FB's, prior to beta testing on the iOS side, would probably have gone much better.

It's very obvious that they're gonna have to up the number of battles per timeslot and upgrade their hosting capability if this is going to succeed at all, in any case, as evidenced by the huge number of non-starter battles, and the current lockout of most of the timeslots as unavailable.
