Forum Rules [Updated 12/21/2016]

MAIN RULES OF THE FORUMS

Please respect your community. Respect each other as you all enjoy the same thing – The Game.

We encourage open and friendly discussion of the game and the Community. Moderators and Staff have final decisions on all matters, and are here to make sure that the Community remains a friendly, fun place appropriate for players of all backgrounds, ages and groups.

It is the forum member's responsibility to stay up to date on forum rules and to honor the behavior outlined.

PURPOSE OF THE FORUMS

These forums provide an area for constructive player discussions of the game. It also allows players to
help each other identify bugs and issues, and help each other reproduce and resolve them.

These forums are not the most direct way to contact support. If you’re having an issue with your game and you need direct assistance, please tap on the FAQ/Support tab within the game.

CHANGES OR IMPROVEMENT

Please make sure to stay updated on these rules by reviewing this page from time to time.

This is a private board. As such, decisions made are final.
We reserve the right to remove any message board content without notice for any reason.

Rule 1: Responses to rule violations
Violating these rules will result in warnings, either formal or informal, suspensions, banning, or other sanctions.

Rule 2: Respect other users on the forums
- Do not make attacks or insult other users, either in the forums or through private messages. Disagreements and debates are fine, but don’t make it personal.
- Do not attack groups. This includes professions, races, religions, sexual orientations, genders, incomes, or even vague groups like “you people.”
- Do not use ill terms which are offensive to groups, do not “flame”, “troll.” or “haze”.

Rule 3: Respect the forum purpose and structure
- Make your posts in the appropriate forum.
- Please use the Search function. If a relevant thread already exists, please post there instead of creating a new thread about the same topic. Duplicate threads will be closed to keep the forums orderly and easy to navigate.
- Keep off-topic posts in the off-topic forum.
- Don’t start discussions about games that are not ours.
- Do not cross-link to other message boards or websites unless approved by a moderator.

Rule 4: Respect the law
- Do not post anything illegal under U.S. law, or encourage other users to break the laws of the U.S. or their country of residence.
- Do not encourage users to break terms of service. This includes giving information about how to find scripts, exploits, or cheats, as well as arranging to buy or sell accounts or virtual goods.

Rule 5: Respect the audience
Think about who you're talking to. Users may be as young as 13 on these message boards, and may be male or female, and from countries across the globe.
- Keep your language civil. Profanity is frowned on.
- Do not post Adult Material, inappropriate graphic sexual content in any format, or links to sexually explicit sites.
- Do not post graphic images or explicit descriptions of violent acts.
- Do not use an avatar or signature that could offend other users. They have to look at it a lot.

Rule 6: Respect privacy
- Do not post any private emails or private messages unless you have the explicit permission of each person involved in the exchange.
- Do not post private communication between customer support, members, moderators, or administrators on these forums, or anywhere else. (This include support ticket responses)
- Do not post any information covered by a non-disclosure agreement or beta testing agreement. Even if you somehow have inside information about our competitors, for legal reasons we don’t want to hear it.
- Do not post Facebook information about other forum users.
- Do not post any private information about other users.
- Do not post in-game information in an attempt to have other players attack your target. Be careful to not cross the line into bullying.

Rule 7: Do not spam
- Do not post repeatedly about the same topic.
- Do not spam users on the forums or through private messages.
- Do not start a thread without actual purpose.
- Do not start a thread about a news story or article unless you make it clear what the story is about, and offer your own opinion to start a discussion.

Rule 8: Respect your account
- Do not share your account information with other individuals. You will be held responsible for any rules violations that occur under your account.
- Do not create new accounts or use other tricks to avoid suspensions or bans.
- Do not create ‘sock puppet’ accounts – multiple accounts created just so that you can agree with yourself and make it seem like your ideas have more support than they do.
- Never include your e-mail address or any other personal information in posts.

Rule 9: Respect the Moderators
- Do not post using the color red. This color is reserved for moderators.
- Do not impersonate moderators. Do not claim to speak for the moderators.

Rule 10: Respect the decisions of the moderators
- The moderation teams reserves the right to warn, suspend, or permanently ban users judged to be acting against the spirit of the rules, even if the user is following the letter of the rules.
- Do not argue with moderators about moderator decisions. You can disagree with a moderator’s opinions, just like any other poster, but when they post moderator actions in red text, it is considered final.
- Moderators have no access to your game account. If you have an issue you must contact customer service.

Generally, BE NICE. There is nothing wrong with being nice to each other.

'All-Around' General

    'All-Around' General

    There has to be a general in this game that is just a good 'all around' balanced general that can be used for Monster Hunting and PvP play. Anyone have any opinions on who that general would be? Prefer Free and Oracle generals, but if one exists in a chest, maybe I will go for that chest. With the time, energy, and resources needed to get a general to L50, I would love to start leveling up the right one from the start.

    I don't think there really is one. Generals are getting more and more specialized with abilities geared directly towards MH (multi-hit generals, elemental generals, crit hit generals, etc), guild abilities, and PVP (piercing/phys resistance, increased army size.) Depending on the monster maybe a general with pierce might be kinda what you're looking for, but pierce is easy to get through the conqueror's path (most monsters don't need more than 20 pierce and you can get that in a couple of weeks in conquest.) I also don't think the increased attack that piercing gives you affects monster damage once you meet the minimum for that monster.

    Any older generals that may have once been a great all around general (and I can't really think of any older ones that would fall in that category anyway) by this point are outclassed by newer generals. Regardless, any lvl 50 generals will probably wipe the floor with just about any lvl 4 general.

    Basically what I'm doing as far as lvling generals past lvl 4 goes is just focusing on the ones I use the most that get ability boosts past lvl 4. Currently for me that's Barbarus (lvl 24/24, Sano (lvl 19/19), Daphne (lvl 15/22), and Scarlett (lvl 5/5 and probably won't level any higher in the foreseeable future.)

      kanbe is my "all-around" general good attack and defense +20 pierce, + 10 earth offence, and 20 DP to boot. not bad for a 30 FP guarantee as a monthly . only downside is you have to be level 400 to buy him

        The only all around general that springs to mind is Crissana, but she is so all around that her bonus is hardly worth anything in any area. Unless she somehow gets really good at level 50. I always thought she looked cool, but she was utterly useless.

          Apparently Sephora gets pretty good at higher levels. (I suppose this is somewhat off-topic since she's good neither for monsters nor for pvp though.)

          More to the topic, perhaps Annika? She's good against piercing monsters and excellent for PvP. (She's completely indifferent for non-piercing monsters though, and available only at a pretty high level.) Same with Aesir, though he's slightly less awesome (but good in an alliance with Annika). Can't really think of any others.
          And currently neither of those two has upgrades beyond level 4.

            I'd suggest Brakus then, he is better at monster hunting than any "only piercing" general, and will often give you the edge on Duels too.

                My default general is Dolomar with Kaiser and Slayer allied. Piercing and elements are covered by equipment so the increase in critical hit rate is much preferred on monsters, and I rely more on my stats and equipment than generals for PVP.

                  My personal favorite is Ender, he covers any piercing I may need so I can use my hunter path equipment, along with his 50 DP. Only downfall is his -10 fire and water resistance can be a problem in monsters.

                    I use Malekus as my all around general... some peircing with levels... good stats and + attk in all aspects (I have 99 generals tho so would be better with more generals).. monsters, guild, PvP, battles.... and no element to deal with.... of all my generals I would say he is best all around in all aspects... not particularly strong on any point but great all around. For offense that is.. i use halcyon for defense when im away.

                      Azul is a good choice for an older all around, was my go to untill I was able to get Kanbe
                      Mark landed a CRITICAL HIT on Jahanna, Priestess of Aurora hitting them for an UNGODLY amount of Damage[15,365,862]! Jahanna, Priestess of Aurora dealt 1 damage.

                        I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I can't start a new one with this question. How does a level 87 player have Kanbe? I thought that the favor generals are level locked.

                          they were not level locked b4... happened a few months ago... kanbe was either the last or close to the last general you could get lower level before the capping.
                          We used to be able to use the buy URL to purchase any favor general at any time

                              It depends a lot on your build.

                              For chest generals, you could consider Halcyon or Xira/Evalice if your build is heavily skewed towards ATT or DEF. Halcyon can allow a cannon to fortify monsters with barely any SPs invested in DEF. Likewise, Xira/Evalice could potentially provide 1k+ attack boost for walls for hunting monsters.

                              All three currently don't benefit from levels beyond 4 though (other than general stats).
