How does this pet work? are you noticing doing more damage? I can't see any difference with him on. maybe I don't understand how it works.

(CA wiki is covered in ads and the actual content is not visible anymore; so plz don't send me there, I can't see anything and the ads that suddenly cover the whole screen piss me to no end)

Generally:
When equipping this pet, you will see a bonus to your damage rune, in the log of a battle (which will be reflected in your overall damage).

As to its abilitiy:
As far as im concerned, the pet has two distinctive effects.

To quote a lvl 5, 1 star flame bulls ability:

"+53 damage runes. When attacking, if the opponent has a Demon pet equipped or no pet equipped, increase 8.1% Final damage additionally."

1. +53 damage runes
This effect is a flat bonus to your damage rune that will always occur no matter what, as long as this pet is equipped and your damage rune is forged to a piece of equipment that you have currently equipped.

2. When attacking, if the opponent has a Demon pet equipped or no pet equipped, increase 8.1% Final damage additionally.
This effect has a condition to it, aside from equipping the pet:
A) the opponent has a demon pet equipped-> (this is most likely to happen if they are in an offensive loadout
B) The player has no pet equipped -> this is most likely to happen if the opponent has not been playing since pets were introduced, and as such is inactive)

Give it a try:
- equip it and attack someone
- unequip it and attack someone

Than find someone you know to be inactive (with no pets equipped) and do it again. You should see a difference in the line:

"Rune damage: +xzy damage from equipped rune items."


Now hopefully this will allow you to test the pets abilities.

Maybe ill make some screenshots when i find a good example to try this one.

Other tips:
Best time to find inactive players is during 100vs100, 10vs10 or when doing LoE with your guild.
Best place to try the flat damage bonus is LoM with your guild (because nobody will try and come after you, while doing that and likely won't change around their equipment or anything like that).
Best place to catch someone in offensive loadout: Colosseum. Probably.
If you use it, while testing also unequip Ceberus so you dont get confused.

Is this pet worth promote? 40 FP for 10 souls is expensive...

So I have used this pet now for a few days, mostly in Colosseum. All I can say is that its "basic" bonus is not consistent. Sometimes it shows, sometimes it doesn't.
My best guess is that even the +53/lv5 bonus is dependent on something.

the 8.1% bonus would be around 40 for a basic damage of 500 - so it would make an extra 93 from the start (against some players). that would make the first hit damage (I play warrior) higher +100 -- so very easily noticed -- and I haven't noticed this either. this would make more sense since very few people in the Colosseum play with no pets OR already have this pet.

so... I'm disappointed.

Hmm unfortunately what i wrote, is what i expect to happen from the description of the pet, but castle age works in mysterious ways.

As for now, i was only able to proof out the flat damage rune bonus. Certainly you dont get a lot for your money.

Next to the raven, or the cleric pet, there is only Cerberus that would fit the bill of an offensive loadout pet.
Aside from a highly leveled pet that just brings pure state bonuses - that is.

So this pet is to keep up with everyone having the moonlight butterfly and in terms of damage, take what you can get.

Of course if you want to wait another 6month / a year you likely will have other / better options.
