  • Pro Tip: Level Up Elf Night

Elf Night is a general that you must put on the rotation to level up. She is a rare drop from the Kingdom Treasure Chest.

For crystal requirements past level 19, see: Hero Crystal: General Leveling For General Promotion info, see: Generals: General Promotion None

Her buff is extra guild coins after a guild battle. Her buff is +5% at lvl 4 and appears to be +1% every 7 levels.

My Elf Knight is 2* lvl 20/24 for a +7.8% buff and those extra GCs add up over time.

With the advent of the Guild shop in ME that changes twice a week, there is now a reason to collect more guild coins.

I want to be clear. Nothing changed with regards to Elf Knight. But something changed that made Elf Night more valuable. In plain English, the economics related to Elf Night changed.

The Dev’s recently introduced a feature that benefits spenders and non-spenders. The Dev enhanced ME by introducing two feature of which the latter was the Guild shop that requires GCs as the currency to buy stuff.

If you want extra GCs, you still have the option to spend FPs for extra collect. However, if you are a piker like myself who loves bargains, you want to extra GCs as cheaply as possible.

I plan to level my Elf Night to lvl 54 ASAP because I need those extra GCs.

Guild emporium refreshes twice a month, I believe, not twice a week.

Thank you for this post Batw! I realized how much more valuable guild coins just became and I use Elf Knight religiously when collecting, but the Knight's increased value hadn't dawned on me. I stopped leveling her at 17, +6.9% coins. I still hate the idea of using valuable evo & hero crystals to go much further. However, I do plan to use all my free rolls on the Kingdom chest, so if I go 2*, then I will probably level her some more. On a further note, after reading your post, I immediately went and refined my rare gem, which I use in conjunction with Elf Knight collects. For a paltry 16 of my 500 odd refine crystals it went from purple +4% coin bonus to orange +5%! Thanks again...

Additionally, as a very light spender, I never dreamed of using favor points for extra collect. However, considering my constant lack of coin, a Tuesday night regular guild battle where I amass 11k+ BAP, would become a very inviting point to spend a few fp for lots of extra coins. "Pro Tips" inderdeed!!

3* Level 49/49. So um... More is better?

Guild Coins have the same value as ever though. I still have Path stuff to buy, Guild Shop stuff to buy, and now this. I keep saying I need to battle more. And I need to remember to collect. Nothing:s changed there.

I disagree! guild coins do not have the same value as ever. They're just as hard to collect as ever. And I believe this new emporium is going to invigorate battling somewhat, which is probably a goal of the devs... However, once you compare the costs of the permanent conquest emporium items vis-a-vis the Colloseum shop cost, for instance, you begin to get an interesting intersect of value. This is with regard to potions, evo crystals, enhance crystals, tungsten etc. Additionally, you can now accelerate pet leveling, so now we have an equivalent value for pet crystals, etc.

When you put it all together, guild coins have an increased purchase power. So, maybe it's semantics, not "value", but 'purchase power'. I will consider whether to buy additional powers more carefully. Path stuff I'd still buy, due to the IA. Items from the Conquest guild, duel and war shops however, have dropped almost off the planet for me. There's a few skills I'd still buy.

Pets and leveling them still seems to have a potentially huge upside. We'll all see this more clearly when they open up link 3, Which will be sometime after they've released mage and rogue powered pets...

I'm also sure I will, now, never plunk down 20k gc for the eviscerator or archangel warbanners, which were never clearly superior to their prior versions, but were 'something to spend coins on' previously.

Guild Coins became required for monster hunters with the introduction of the Rat Horde. No prior Alchemies required anything from battling at all. But you couldn't do the Legendary Rat Alchemies without gear from Paths. So monster hunters had to join a guild, and actually had to battle, or they couldn't progress with further monster hunting (the Cassandra Legendary alchemy required the Rat gear). The Cronus Astaroth Legendary alchemies require Elite Path gear.

So now, being in a Guild, and participating in Guild battles is required -by the game - but some people actually enjoy that part of the game anyway, and some people have a ton of guild coins because they do battle regularly, if not daily.

And when is the last time anything has been introduced to buy with Guild Coins?

Ok, so now there's a guild shop in Mystic Emporium. Awesome. That totally reinvigorates Guild Battles, because people need coins to buy stuff twice a month. And it seems that the new shop may be the only way to promote some Pets, at least past 4*.

A resource only has value if it can be exchanged for something else. The Gold economy in this game is a prime example, as it has become laughably useless to most of us. Without the new guild shop, Guild Coins would become just as useless, eventually, to all of us. That would make guild battles less important.

Guild Coins are available in most promos, by doing paths and collecting (up to twice a day), and by using Conquest Tokens. There are 3 10v and 3 100v battles each day. We can also do the 5 hour battles when the button clears. And the Daily Spin can give GC's.

Until the guild shop in ME was introduced, the number of Guild Coins needed could be calculated. One total to buy everything required for Alchemies, and another to buy everything available. Now, all of that can still be calculated, but we can buy other stuff too. Twice a month, forever. Or at least as long as the game or this shop lasts.

This shop rewards those players that do more than the bare minimum. As a GM, I freakin' love it. This shop gives people a choice for their GC's. So if we get stuck on paths, or have finished them completely, we can buy other stuff.

By nature, I'm always in favor of more diversity. So, why do refine crystals cost anything in any shop? They're free twice a day, every day...

Refine Crystals are rewards in some events too. Idk. Ppl need to Refine stuff probably. I have 741 of them. But some ppl might need some. Don't buy them if you don't need to.

Nothing says you have to buy everything available in the store. There should be something totally useless to you, and something extremely important. I have Tungsten Ore available for 10k GCs. I don't need it yet, so I don't feel bad not buying it. But I bought Forest Fairie shards. Probably a waste, but whatevs. Last time, I bought Pegasus Elf shards, which was a total waste, since I don't even have that Pet.

Some ppl need Hero & Evo Crystals, some need Potions, some need some of each. I don't see why anyone would need blue crystals, but they're in the shop sometimes, just in case. Just because I have 71 Defense Potions saved up, doesn't mean someone else doesn't need them.
