  • How to level a Pet

Disclaimer: I really don’t understand the leveling mechanisms but want to share what little I know.

    - Oracle Pet eggs (you buy eggs and then hatch them in the Keep) cost 20 FP each. So far there is a limit of 8 of the same pet egg.

    - If you go to the Pet Shard section, it states:
“Soul shards are used to increase the star and the stage in the star for pets. When you already have a pet, the egg you use it will automatically convert into 30 soul shards.”

That means the copy or copies mechanism for stars used for generals does not apply to pets.

    - for your pet, you would use the “Promote” tab. It took 2 tries with each try consuming soul shards until I got my pet to 2 stars.

The mechanism to increase stars in pets is new. So understand that each subsequent egg purchase buys soul shards that are then used to promote your STUPID pet.

Prior to promoting to 2 star, my bunny with the long ears had the following:

    Lvl 3/5 Raw Stats: 14 Atk / 52 Def
    Buff: +26 Physical Resist

After the promotion, it had the following:
    15 Atk / 55 Def
    +28 PR

Summary: A small bump in Atk / Def stats and PR.

I promote another pet, by promote I mean going from 1 star to 2 star in this case.

You need Soul Shards to promote a pet.

1st time hitting promote button consumes 10 Soul Shards and you get this message:

“attack and defense power increased by 5%.”

2nd time hitting promote button consumes 20 (of the original 30) Soul Shards and got the following message:

      “Skill improvement 1 times.“

      Pet is now 2 stars.

Spent 40 FP (again this is charity to help support an old clicky game) to promote my 2 star Bunny to 3 stars.

        Bunny has following stats: 17 Atk / 57 Def & + 28 PR and is level 4/5.

1st purchase gets me 30 soul shards

1st click of promote button gets the following
        - consumes 20 soul shards
        - message: “Attack and Defense power increase by 10%” as my base stats increase to 19 Atk / 63 Def and PR stays at +28
        - It now says 2 Star 1 Stage complete

2nd purchase gets me another 30 soul shards

2nd click of promote button gets the following:
        - consumes 40 soul shard
        - message of “Skill improve 2 times”
        - no change in base stats of 19 Atk / 63 Def
        - PR increases to +31

I am pretty much done with promoting Pets. My loss is your gain.

There are some small icons in the Promote bar to click - for stats or for skill improvement - not sure if this does anything or not. However for my Pegasus I selected the skill star before promoting. The 8 favour point purchased eggs gave me the pet and shards for promotion up to 4 stars - passive healing went up from 1 to 6 and cleanse skill has 24.494% chance of removing an additional 1 debuff now (not sure, at which value this started). The pet stats are now at 30/53.

That nasty wasp pet in my RL garden hit my toe today - this hurts ;-)

Edit: Tested now with my cleric - passive heal went up from 168 to 178 with pet level 3.

One day later in the morning the link was set back to the first pet, not sure how that happened...

This post is to clarify a few things.

LEVEL UP button: Leveling a pet means taking a pet from level 1 to level 5 and requires crystals that award XP; given enough XP your pet achieves the next level, eg level 1 to level 2. Recall that you obtain crystals from digging and those crystals because resources to level up your pet.

POWER UP button: That is to raise my current rabbit pet, eg from a max of level 5 to level 10. The resources required are 10 blue (water) crystals and 10 red (fire crystals).

The preview window shows 42 Atk / 91 Def and +34 PR at level 10 for my 3 star bunny.

PROMOTE button: is to increase stars, which was covered in the first few posts of this thread.

What I have not covered is the economics, eg when you make an investment, you need to know the benefits (here, the pet will gain better stats and better buff) vs the costs associated with making the investment (here, it is energy, stamina, mining sprite, time, etc).

Hello. Playing Colosseum today I noticed that there is a bug with Cleanse's cleric ability and the new pet Pegasus Elf. When I've used CLEANSE on someone with SUNDER, it was only removed when the Pegasus Elf pet's new ability from the extra debuff worked. If this % of an extra debuff ability didn't work at the time, Sunder's buff wasn't removed. I don't know if it's just with Sunder or if it's the same with other buffs like Confuse or Poison for example. Has any of you experienced the same?

Makhai, can you be more clear about the issue you are asking about. Are you saying that if Sunder were the only debuff your ally had, and you cleansed your ally while you had Pegasus Elf equipped, that Sunder was not [always] cleared?

That is correct. I am battling right now and there is confuse on one of guild members.

I try to use cleanse and dispel to remove the confuse and it just heals the guild member instead of removing the confuse. I even removed the Pegasus Elf pet from my cleric.

I thought I had seen the same bug today in 100v100 with Dispelling a Polymorph. I checked the log; the other guild just has a quick Mage.

How many stars can you get on a pet? I have 4* so far. Can't find if they are the same as generals or are limited

I believe 4 is the limit. I have only 3* so far, so I don't know what it looks like once you have 4, but I was assuming you could no longer process shards.
