  • I Double Dipped Hera & Winter Cottage Promo’s

When Hera’s promo came out; $45 for 330 FP (iOS gets 10% bonus) along with $150 FP over $30 days was not a good bargain.

Then came the monthly $20 Promo pack called Winter Cottage with a ton of goodies.

Long story short: for the same $45 Hera Promo, I ended with 2 promo’s for 1 price. 390 FP plus tons of goodies and 150 FP over 30 days for $45 was too good of a deal to pass up.

It was 300 FP for $45 + 30 FP for iOS + 60 FP from Winter Cottage for 390.

The Hera Promo expires on 12/20. So you have a few more days to consider buying Hera Promo for $45 and getting the Winter Cottage Promo pack for free.

Typically the Dev’s space out the monthly, Hera, and MK promo packs separately to prevent overlaps. It might be an oversight by the Dev for this month that two Promo Packs overlapped.

The way I see it, you are rewarding devs for their poor coding abilities, lack of recent back ups and no interest at all for customers. Not to say that a big part of the game is still not running.

          1. It’s one thing if it’s a 6-hr maintenance gone wrong. It’s another if someone was trying to hack the game.

          2. Perhaps the double dipping is a form of compensation for spenders.

Have to agree with @Barathor. Giving your money to devs when they still didn't fix the game, failed to secure it, don't make any backups, don't listen to community and make this game even more pay 2 win is a big mistake in my opinion.

Be careful in what you wish for because you might get it.

Suppose the CA community listened to both you and Barathor? Then what is the natural conclusion of your position?

Both you and Barathor are recommending players shut down the game. Without sufficient revenues, the Devs will shut down CA.

I don’t know the full details of the fiasco but I will give the Devs the benefit of the doubt that the game got hacked.

CA is an old game, maybe you and Barathor are correct, it’s time to pull the plug on this game.

I never recommended anybody to cut spending. I just pointed that doing it right now and thinking of it as a win-win is not correct under my point of view.
About the "someone tried to hack the game" plot... I am certainly not buying it either.

You need to ask yourself: What is the alternative?

If you are *not* going to spend when you are getting some free, e.g. double dipping? Then, when should you spend?

They are not seeing a single dime from me while they don't return my stuff that disappeared during maintenance.

I never said they should shutdown the game. I like this game. All I want is to improve them, make it better. I have dealt with lots of companies and believe me there are better companies who have more active devs, who communicate better with users, make surveys, ask this, that, check forum, reply to users... I never seen CA dev coming here and replying to anyone or asking for survey participation. Lots of game companies make survey with questions like which map you like most, what do you think about this weapon or that gear... Good company always reads feedback, always is interested in customers views and is interesting to improve their product. CA devs, seem more isolated, not very much communication, which I find it sad. They make small changes, improve a few things, but still a lot things has to be done. Game still needs a lot of things to be changed and fixed. Anyway, I never recommended them to shut down the game. All I said that giving money to such devs was a mistake, especially now when they still didn't fix the thing. Arena is back, but alchemies and forging is still disabled. That's not acceptable. Let me explain my point in a different way: When company makes mistakes, or doesn't care much about customers or feedback or don't take criticism or in short don't do well, customers shouldn't give them money and customers shouldn't be silent. They should protest. Because when you protest you let them hear about existing problems. That's why revolutions happen when government doesn't listen to people & fail them. Now, if you don't protest and instead you act like nothing is happening, like everything whatever they do is still fine and you still give them your money, then of course nothing will change. Company will still continue whatever they want, because they know they will getaway with everything and still get the money. Well, CA devs aren't that bad of course, but buying anything now, when game still isn't fixed fully, was a mistake in my opinion, but it's up to you of course.

You should learn to listen. Nothing wrong with that. It's not like anyone will think less of you for saying "Sorry, I did not think of that - bless you".
You would rather twist and turn than ever admitting any wrongdoing - ever.
It's not okay to reward the developers for incompetence and that's that.
                        The end.

“You should learn to listen” ... you should take your own advice.

After taking your own advice, understand people can disagree with each other without calling the other side wrong.

For example, Barathor does not believe in theory someone hacked the game; that is Barathor’s opinion and my opinion is the game got hacked. Neither Barathor nor I can prove our positions factually.

However, I was in the Cult of Paddy for over 1 year and did interact with the Dev’s so I have an idea of an unintended bug vs something else. I witnessed numerous “Hot Fixes” based on guild chat. So I have more information than Barathor to form my opinion.

To clear: Opinions are not facts.

We can debate facts. But debating opinions is a fool’s error. Therefore, it’s really important to discern facts from opinions.

I think you mean opposite. Opinions can be debated, but facts not, because facts don't leave room for doubts.
