  • Does pierce apply to equipment and hero?

I was wondering if anyone has ever checked this. The difference will be quite small, but I'm curious about it.

I wanted to look for someone to check it, but with my equipment and hero, the window is too small. If I include it, my final power would be only 110 points higher than if I don't apply pierce to it, so I would need someone whose defense is really close to the middle of them... and I don't think there are many

And that's only because (for some reason) the general's stats are greatly increased in regular duels.

So if anyone knows it (with some certainty), then I'd like to know it too

If by any chance there is someone with an eDEF (with no resistance with his hero or equipment and the stats of the general shown in duel) really close to 6520 (let's give a margin of +-10) then we could try it by letting me attack him

There are so many different theories floating around about both Pierce and Resistance that it's almost comical.

Does equipped Pierce/Resistance apply to Equipment stats?
Does equipped Pierce/Resistance apply to General stats?
Does equipped Pierce apply fully against an opponents equipped Resistance?
Does equipped Resistance apply fully against an opponents equipped Pierce?
Do equipped Pierce/Resistance values cancel each other out between opponents?

    Does it honestly matter?
Think of how much total Pierce or Resistance you might have or expect to have any time in the foreseeable future.
Just how much equipment and general stats either or both would you need to have equipped for that pierce/resistance bonus to count as anything more than a popcorn phart in a wind tunnel? I currently have +220 Pierce when I am fully equipped for PvP attacking. With say total +500 effective attack from my equipped general and equipment that would be a whopping +110 provided it applied. For someone say level 50? Yeah, add an extra 110 and that could make all the difference in the world. Level 100? Yeah, some difference. Level 200? Not so much difference but it would help. I'm at level 748 and that +110 would most likely never be noticed.

If you have the total Piercing/Resistance plus equipment and generals stats for it to matter if it applies or not. You have enough levels that it just does not matter.

As for the rest, do the two apply fully at all times or do they cancel each other out?
What does it matter and how could you tell?
You know how much Piercing or Resistance you have equipped. Or you can find out easily enough.
You have no way of knowing how much your opponent has equipped. The system will tell you when you attack them either You Physically Pierced your opponent or Your Opponents Physical Resistance Hindered your attack. So you know, sort of, if you had more Pierce than they had Resistance. But that's all you know. You don't know how much more.

It's the grand total that matters. Whether or not Your Total effective A/D is more than Their Total effective A/D.

I've chained any number of people where the system said their resistance hindered my attack. And I've also bounced off of plenty where the system said I pierced them.

Well i think pierce and resistence are added after calculating ur effective attack or effective defense witch includes equipment and also general!

      pierce: 220
      rar Attack: 1000
      rar Def: 1000
      rune Att: 100
      rune Def: 100
      IA ATT: 100
      IA DEF: 100
      General ATT: 50
      General DEF: 50
      Equip ATT: 100
      Equip DEF: 100

      EA = ED: (1350 + 0.7*1350) = 2295

so if u attack someone who has 2600 ED and 50 resist u are piercing him with 170
so ur attack gets a boost of 17% = 2685 EA and u should win!

but i think the stats that are showing from the General and also the Stats from the items have a multiplier! I came up with that guess by testing and with the thing, that whenever ur General levels u get a Message like: ur General got +6 Attack but the stats showing are only changing by 1!

So all in one i think the equip doesnt change that much in stats from what the most ppl have and from "the best stats gear out there" so i dont really calculate gear!

but pierce and resist equipped will make a big diffrence! Also the level of the General is important cuz i belive there is a multiplicator of the stats showing!

In Dueling they seem to have added a multiplier on Generals stats but there appears to be quite a range on how much or what percentage gets added.

I have both generals Zin and Misa and both have stats of 20/20 @ level 4. I will often go to the battle page and Duel a couple of times to activate their abilities and receive the bonus Stamina and Energy.

The system will show Zin's stats in the Results portion as 23/23.
The very next duel will show Misa's stats in the Results as 27/27.

Using Annika to Duel the Results show a 50% increase to her link augmented stats.

For Dueling, Equipment and Generals stats of course matter. But not nearly as much as Player stats. And additions such as Piercing and Resistance can quickly make equipment with weaker stats far more valuable than even BIS items if they don't include the Piercing or Resistance.

In Monster Battles, equipment and Generals stats can make quite a difference in damage done. Just a few points difference in equipment or generals stats and you would have a hard time telling the difference. Especially if your attack stat is below the threshold for the monster. 10 or 20 points difference in equipment or generals stats and you probably won't notice. 50 - 100 points difference and you'll probably notice unless you just aren't paying any attention. 150 and up difference and you would have to be just totally oblivious to not notice.

yes i have seen that 50% on annika in dual,.. but i am talking about the thing when u level a general its pops up a message like "ur general got +X attack and +X defense" and the stats that are showing are only increasing by like 1 or something so i think there might be something else with the general power but maybe i am wrong

That popup is the total stat points that general has gained from level 1. Not the total gained just for that level.
