Which chest is the best one?

Which chest contains the best generals for monster hunting? I'm unsure if Oblivion or Ascension is better.

Oblivion, Halcyon and Banthus are both very powerful even tho they belong to a supposly lowbie chest, Xira is good too if you have heavy Def (Tho you get Evalice in Ascension), and don't forget Miri.

If you mean the best monster hunting general overall however, they belong to the oracle, aka Dolomar, Maalvus and the various Elemental Offense generals

Even better : forget chest & just get Dolomar / Maalvus & a load of refills

oblivion:

banthus- 50% critical chance, maximize with 100/200 stam buttons
xira-25% defense to attack transfer, do higher damage on monsters for each hit. useful for when you are below the attack thresholds on monsters (like i have been before).
miri bladeborne- 10% critical chance, maximize with 100/200 stam buttons
halcyon- 25% attack to defense transfer, great to use when using energy on monsters
hyacinth- 25% stamina to energy transfer, great to use when strengthening monsters and you are lower energy build.
corvintheus- increases defense according to amount of health you have, can be great for using energy on monsters depending on your build

oblivion has more generals useful for monster hunting, so better chance of landing a useful one. ascension chest as an easier version of evalice to get. if i was a monster hunter that would be the only legitimate reason id roll that chest. an easier version of xira to get. misa is a nice roll- but nothing i would specifically say i am going to roll this chest until i get misa! i would say that about evalice, but no other general out of that chest.

with oblivion chest, there are multiple generals in there where i would say i am not going to stop rolling this chest until i get x general...and others have felt the same. some of them are in mental hospitals and halfway houses now, but thats not the point

Best off getting Dolomar and Maalvus first for older monsters and at least 1 of the piercing monthlies for the new monsters. As for the chests, Oblivion is good mainly for Banthus and Alpha is good for Orc King. The transfer heroes don't really do much for monsters unless you have a really lopsided build.

Seriously, I'll get all the monthlies before rolling a chest. But if I couldn't resist a roll, I'd go with Oblivion (since they don't have Despair or Disappointment yet).
