Nobody ever said you could be the top in this game without FP, inside or outside the arena. If being on top means so much that you're willing to throw money at it, you may be on top as far as I'm concerned. I'm having fun at the 60th percentile of players or so, but still all the cash in their pockets.

Like you said, it's a game. You don't have to dominate the whole thing; if you choose to and use a CC doing it, don't come here complaining.

Don't blame the devs for being 'greedy' when it is you who want to keep up desperately with the new content without sacrifice. WHOO I WANT TO KEEP MY 5000 BSI and still hunt Malekus. Keep dreaming pal.

My guess is significantly less than 5%. Maybe even less than 1%. I wouldn't be where I am if I didn't have a hardcore pvp build with a BSI >9. Anything less than BSI 7 at my level and I probably would be struggling.

I guess their point is that it can be done though. I've done it in every single arena so far without cheating. Arena III was by far the hardest to do it in, and I don't plan to do anything like that ever again for a silly Arena. It started to actually get in the way of my social life a little, which I didn't appreciate whatsoever

Nope... at least it shouldn't be, since the unit is relatively worthless other than being a trophy. Personally, my goal was to reach Vanguard, but I just happened to find out I could do better so I ran with it.

And to stay on topic, if you don't like the game, quit. I don't like how the devs do things, so I refuse to pay and instead allocate my gaming fund to other games. I refuse to hunt monsters anymore because it's all the same and loot is practically worthless compared to raw stats, and I don't do guild battles because I don't have all freaking day to sit here and click..... click..... click.....

Just do whatever it is you like, and if that stops being enjoyable, go find something else to do. Might I suggest a bicycle and a ride through the park?
