The best ones are generally the ones you don't have anything from yet. But beware of the more recent ones as they contain a lot of items that are only useful for guild battles. Choose one that has generals and stuff you want and hope you get lucky.

If you're a cleric in guild battles, try the same chest and go for Elaida. She requires the heal ability so keep that in mind. It all depends on what you are searching for. Stats wise...the newest chest has the top 4 generals in ca. But that doesn't mean much unless you're stats are close with someone elses. If you want a defense general, try for Aurelius in the new chest. He provides .6 defense for every 3 Health. If you battle a lot, Jahanna adds +.6 attack for ever 4 Health. Also in the zurran, elaida chest is Ameron and Raziel which are the warrior and Rogue Generals. If you're going for warrior, I personally would recommend Meekah the monthly general instead of ameron when used with the confidence ability and whirlwind ability + Leadership. If you need more stamina on leveling, solara is a good monthly general to have for that. There are others for other builds as well. I would go through the list of generals and research them and their stats, abilities, etc and depending on what you are looking for, roll on that chest or just buy a monthly gen right out straight for your needs. Hope this long posts helps a bit.
