Default Chest question

So I have 80+ FP saved up...is it better to gamble on chests or to buy a monthly general as I see fit?

If I go chests, which set is best at this point.

Thanks for any info.

why is everyone asking the same question OVER AND OVER AGAIN?

its like asking is it better to put my money in the bank or to buy lottery with it?

monthly = no risk involved but not as good as epic generals

chest = chance to get epic generals (5%) but also chance to get worthless things.

simple.

Hi James

You might want to consider buying one of those, if you haven't them already, depending on your play style. There are all considered must-have :
- Zin (+15 stamina /23hours)
- Maalvus (3x attacks, +3% crit)
- Adriana (-3 def opposite WC)
- Sanna (+4 /splash heal as cleric)
- Deshara (+40 DMg as rogue)
- Dolomar (+5% crit)
- Solara (20% SP max energy -> max stamina )
- Kataan (22/22, for WC)

If you choose to Gamble, you can have much better, but you can also have nothing. Choice is yours.

Except that people actually win epic generals. Nobody wins the lottery, and when they do, they start over-spending and go broke in about two years. :\

I did a test and you need around 3000 FP to actually have everything in a chest. And the chance to get epic general (or good general such as Halcyon) from 80 FP is next to 0.
Of course it's not impossible, but damn hard you think the devs hate you.

Not really true. There are many monthlies out who have better or unique abbilities then the chest ones. Deshara (best as rogue), Sanna (best as cleric), Solara (energy to stam transfer), just to name few.

In my opinion this four are most important from chests:
Orc King (Alpha), Hyacinth (Oblivion), Xira (Oblivion) & Halcyon (Oblivion). If you are addicted to guild battles you ca go for Annihilator. Elaida and Zurran not that bad too.

Neither Deshara nor Sanna is the "Best" for each class but yet a suitable General for a certain use during a Guild Battle. To the second part, to each his own penind his play style for Chests.

It's all pending ones play style; go to Castle Age Wiki and look for what you feel is the most needed and take your time for it.

Do you see the problem with what you said? And how does this relate to the question at hand?
