Reflections on recently entering the gauntlet

After some trepidation of the unknown I thought I would just take a moment on journey across the Guantlet threshold.
I was a Prince that was 1/2way to King when I entered, with what I thought at the time were decent stats for a hybrid PvMvP....so the first 2-3 weeks I gave up monster hunting just to keep my BP because of the sheer number of welcomers! I noticed that there are a few different types of visitors:
1)Those that were way above me in level but not Rank. I was surprised that they were the ones that hit the most times in a row....
2)Those that were obviously hiders who hold their rank because the hide not because they can defend it. They hit for the most as well....good luck finding them alive because they really take hiding seriously.....
3)My favorite visitors are the hitters that hit you but allow you to hit them back. Thanks to them(and others) I am now a King....
4)Those that tap 2-4 times just to test you out seem to be the most friendly and don't mind a shot back and rarely come back to be punitive....they to me are the serious PvPers

Thanks for sharing! Glad it has been a diverse experience so far but still, it sounds like, with a positive "end" result.

I hit the gauntlet myself a couple of months ago and have found it less brutal than advertised. Just very glad to be having some action in my battle feeds ATM and since I win most that attack in normal Battles, it's all good (although I lose a lot of WP for War. . .).

Every single day I log into CA, this is what I normally see (not from the same person mind you, just last night's example. I clear my log daily.) ... every single day

I've entered the gauntlet a bit more than one month ago, and I share your impressions.

I took great pleasure in the fact that I win more than half battles of any kind when I'm offline, despite my 4.4 BSI. I always leave Chase equipped when not there.

Aw, man, you got some dedicated fans alright! Or your War Points do, at least. Not sure what you could do about that since it's probably the high levels that get through you. Take it in stride, I guess. :P

It'd be a little disheartening for me to be a target of such attentions. Glad it's only 0-20 WP loss a day for me so it's pretty easy to take back what's lost.

The gauntlet only really lasts for like 100 levels anyways. My battle feed has slowed way down as I approached level 400. I think it has something to do with the low-BSI and hider crowd figuring at this point you've had an extra 400 levels to add to defense, so it's not worth risking the bounce.

Mine is pretty similar to this, only I usually lose 0 War Points since I'm at the bottom of a tier.

I was dreading the gauntlet but since getting there I have felt the game has finally started for me. I was glad I took my time as a PVP build so bounce a lot of attacks. Sometimes I would love to see the look on their faces when someone twice my level pings unexpectedly off my armour...

Thats why win/loss records mean nothing. Most power levelers have such a low BSI they have to get to 700 or so and start picking on 300's with high battle ranks. Kind of weak if you ask me but whatever.
