Default Titles for Dragonslayers!

Hey everyone, first post ...

I've only been playing Castle Age for a few days, but as soon as I started to see dragons, I pumped points into my stamina and started getting groups together to take them down. It's some of the most fun I've ever had in the 6+ games I play regularly. Great job!

I'm definitely going to be a "Dragonslayer" for the rest of the game, so I was thinking. People get great titles for fighting in the Arena. People who fight dragons should get titles, too!

But it would be harder to implement, because lots of people participate in a fight against a dragon, and when one goes down, it wouldn't be fair to give someone who did 500 damage the same title as someone who did 200,000 ... it should be something you earn.

So I was thinking:

a) The title might depend on the percentage of damage you did to the dragon. In the most recent dragon I did, I did almost 20% of the total damage. Maybe if you do this several times, you get a dragonslayer title, and then five more times, another title, ten, another ...

a) The title might depend not on the amount of damage (which can vary because of attack stat), but on the number of times you attacked, so if you attacked dragons 1,000 times, and your group vanquished the dragon x times, you get the title.

c) Another thing that would be cool is quests, similar to demi-quests, for dragonslayers. They would be few and far between, of course, because the reward for fighting dragons is already so high. But 1 dragon slain = 1 quest, 5 dragons slain = 1, etc. Maybe the reward for these quests could be an item that summons a rare dragon, instead of needing to gather many items. Or maybe equipment that makes you a better dragonslayer but isn't as effective in normal Arena battles as other equipment.

Another thought: In the Fire Realm there are now a pair of battles under each quest, but these battles function as normal quests even though they are worded differently and count differently in the mastery of the realm. It would be cool if each realm had one "dragon-style" battle in it, either at the end or optionally. Of course, the enemy would not be a "dragon" but perhaps the "boss" of the realm such as the Orc King.

Dragons are a great idea, want to see more innovative gameplay ideas like this ... the more that goes above and beyond regular gameplay, the better!

I agree, they need more ways to buy/earn units and items. Instead of only favoring those who attack each other. Though, that is the point of most of these games....bash the living hell out of each other.

Sounds like you & I share many of the same kinds of ideas I think this is definately a line of gameplay that should be put in to reward the Dragon Hunters.

I'll refer you to my post "Dragon Rank" prolly shoulda been called Dragon Hunter Rank In hindsight. lol

Great Idea!

I like this idea! Perhaps instead of calling this game Castle Age, mayhaps we should call it, Dragon Hunter! =)

But I digress, a cool reward and/or title + exclusive items awarded for dragon hunters is a cool idea! I heartily endorse this idea! (even though I'm not a Castle Age Dev.)
