Have any effect on the underworld drops to get Carigan \, or does it have to be Morrigan?

You must wait until the sub quests to appear in order to use Titania.

So she works better for the drops on the subquests?

It's been said that she has no effect because the drops are from the random encounters, not the quests.

That said, I've no hard info either way.
