Golden Dragon Advice

I am stuck where I'm sure many are or have been stuck in the past. I'm trying to snatch the Wall of Fire from a willing Goldie. I've done just about every range of damage from just a few PA, to many PA, to soloing the dragon and mixing in single attacks, multiple single attacks with multiple PA. I am receiving at least one epic per battle but never the WoF. For those of you with the drop do you find that there is a threshold of damage/range of damage or am I having bad luck? I deliver around 4k per PA. I notice that someone has a thread asking dragon attackers to use 40 PA. Is there a reason for that? Does that give the optimum loot?

That is a FP farming experiment for a group to drop dragons in a few hours.

I've gotten 3 walls of fire on 4 tries, and they've all been in the 100-150k damage range. (25-35 power attacks for me)

I've gotten 4 walls of fire, my latest one surprised me since I'd only done 65,000 damage to the dragon. I think the other ones were from dragons where I'd done a lot more, but I can't remember for sure.

I recommend chaining everyone you find that already has a wall of fire.

I still need 2 jewels of fire to make 2 more helms if that makes you feel any better.

I've got all mine from doing 125 - 130k, and those damn jewels of fire are holding me back too.
