We should be tired of the Lifestyles of the 1%, not matter which side they pretend to be on. Biden Proves Democrats Morally Corrupt Too - The Guardian

We are presented with politics as sports, even though sports are a terrible model for politics. A population that chooses a political party and sticks to it out of team loyalty is a good thing for political power brokers, but a bad thing for the population of people. Every hypocritical, lying, self-serving greedhead who uses politics for the most cynical possible purposes leans on the fact that, as long as they are wearing their team colors, voters will forgive them for anything.
Most addicts are incarcerated, jobless, often found dead in the street, etc. This one was just born with a silver spoon stuck in his mouth.

In my opinion, it would be just if Biden lost the chance to be the nominee.

We all know that it was an indirect hope for future "something" here. They gave Hunter that money hoping that when Joe Biden was doing something legislatively that would affect them... that Joe Biden would think kindly toward them.

I'm torn on the Biden thing. What sucks is that as a parent, I have to be able to explain it to my kids. At least Stormy Daniels wrote a book I could direct them to.

Truth be told, considering what was happening in Ukraine at the time Hunter was appointed to the board, I believe that it's most likely that the Ukranians just wanted and unbiased board. Hunter Biden wouldn't be bullied or bought by Russians, as a Ukranian attorney could have been. John Kerry's stepson was also a member of that same board.

I think that sentiment has been building for many years. People are getting tired of politicians that mysteriously become millionaires on a salary of thousands, and their children (and other relatives) being handed cushy jobs to win political favor. They're also catching on that people that inherited most of their wealth are not "self made", nor did they earn it.

Most people are figuring it out, that is. There will always be some that have a cult worship of the wealthy.

It appears that there is a lot of "insider privilege" going on with the offspring of politicians, from both political parties.

Mesires added that Hunter "intends to resign from" the board of directors of a Chinese-backed private equity firm by the end of the month.
Still trying to figure out how one person can be so talented that they can manage an addiction and be an expert in a dozen fields. So expert that international companies seek out his genius and hire him over and over again.

Speaking of the other side, T Jr defends his deals saying that he was in business before becoming a politician? Oh wow, he fancies himself a politician now?

Now, I have a contractual obligation to do the deals that we had signed up before he was president. That’s what you do," Trump Jr. said, adding, "We’re finishing off the deals that we had in the works prior to becoming politicians.

You don't have to be a genius in the field to be useful to a company though. Your skills could be totally unrelated to the actual product, but still be extremely important in managing and overseeing how the company itself runs.

In Game of Thrones prominent families often took the children of rival families and fostered them, perhaps reflecting the real world in that forming bonds with rivals often means that a son of one family is hired by a company to establish closer ties to that prominent figure. In this case the value to the company that hires Joe Biden's son is the connection with Joe Biden.

It seems like Trump kids are above the law (foundations and trademarks in china) , while Hunter is well (has to blame himself for having biden as dad).
Who would like to have Trump for a father?

^^I have been trying to find what qualification that the man has. He got appointed an direct commission officer and got kicked out of that also. Can you tell me what he is so excellent at? Not one single news article I can find mentions his talent.

Hunter applied for an age waiver, which the Navy granted.
On May 7, 2013, he was assigned to a Reserve unit at Naval Station Norfolk. He had hoped to work in naval intelligence, but was given a job in a public-affairs unit. In a small, private ceremony at the White House, Hunter was sworn in by his father.
Yep. Sure. You betcha. Nothing going on there that would not be happening for the son of a store stocker, err... I mean a store inventory specialists.

Is Yale law school something to be proud of?
I believe Trump kids has Wharton biz schools to show for their efforts.

Quoting from guardian not sure if it is fake news.

In 2006, President George W. Bush appointed him to the Amtrak board of directors as a gesture of bipartisanship. Here’s how Tom Carper, Delaware’s other senator, described his qualifications for the job (emphasis added):

Hunter Biden is a native Delawarian and I would go on to say that he’s also been nominated to serve on the Amtrak Board of Directors. When Hunter was unable to get into the University of Delaware, he instead went on to Georgetown and then to Yale Law School and managed to get through those OK. He’s ended up being Senior Vice President at MBNA one of the largest financial institutions in the country. He served as Executive Director of Economy Policy Coordination at the U.S. Department of Commerce. About 5 years ago he went off and formed a law firm here in Washington, D.C., and now they represent over 100 clients including a bunch of non-profit organizations and educational institutions.

More specifically, though, and for our purposes and for the purpose of this nomination, Hunter Biden has spent a lot of time on Amtrak trains. Like his father, like our Congressman, Mike Castle and myself, Hunter Biden has lived in Delaware while using Amtrak to commute to his job as we commute to our job in Washington almost every day of the week. You know, you learn a lot about what could work and what would work better at Amtrak by riding trains and talking to the passengers, the commuters, the passengers, the folks who work on the trains and make them work every day. You also have a chance to see the huge economic benefit the region receives from having a strong passenger rail corridor, something that should be available in a lot of other parts of our country.

It would obviously be a stretch to attribute any specific shortcoming of passenger rail in the United States to Hunter Biden’s service on the board. But the fact that the job is treated as a kind of patronage position to hand out to random senators’ kids who have no relevant knowledge beyond riding the train a lot helps explain why American passenger rail is low quality and exhibits little understanding of international best practices.
