Exclamation Losing Xp from attacking someone victoriously

Recently I was attacking someone and I was at low health and down to needing a few XP to level. I had 8 XP to the next level so I did TWO 3 XP demi-quests that give you energy potions, so I needed 2 XP to level, so I waited form health to get to 10 and attacked this guy and BAM I'm back up to needing 8 XP, which was weird and I thought I could have misread it or something again. I basically repeated the process to or 3 more times and finally had 3 XP needed and attacked the same guy and was finally able to level.

Anyone else run into this bug?

It is not a bug. When you have low hp, close to 10 and you hit someone, eve if you win, you still take some dmg. That might take your hp < 10, which will result in losing some XP. This has been know and use by some PvPers for many years to artificially keep their level low while their BSI increase. Don't ask me why people want to do it that way. People do whatever they like.

What the hell? When you go under 10 HP, you automatically and always lose XP? I had never heard of that before

You might have not notice this before b/c you are not an obsessive pvper like some who are.

You used to lose exp on kill shots (when you reached 0 hp), but kill shots were sort of changed to apply when you simply went under 10 hp.

I wasn't sure if the exp loss mechanic was kept too.

Right, I remember this last change.

I think it's mostly because I don't pay attention at all to my XP when battling. Also, is it actually indicated on the battle log where your XP and Battle Points gains are indicated? I feel like I would have noticed it if it were the case. I suppose you actually have to pay attention to your XP bar to notice it..

Does anyone want to volunteer to update the WIKI with this information ? Can anyone find out how much XP you lose when you go below 10 HP ? I'm thinking 5 but I haven't tested... will test if I ever get bored...

My limited testing indicates that you lose 7 XP when you fall below 10 HP...
