Please note your postings on this public forum will become public. Your text will be available to anyone with an internet connection. As such there are some rules that need to be followed to ensure this forum remains a clean an inviting place.

By using this web site, you agree to be contacted by site administration, regardless of your account settings, when it becomes necessary to do so regarding your account activity or other forum matters.

I. Thou Shall Be Nice
While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks, name calling, foul language or purposeless inflammatory posts. We also do not allow posts or links to sites that are sexual in nature or violate our community standards. The Moderator/Admin team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards.

II. Thou Shall Post Responsibly
Advertising, spamming and trolling is not allowed. This includes using the forum, email, visitor messages and private message systems to spam other members. This forum does not allow comments encouraging illegal behaviors: this includes--but is not limited to--game cheats, hacking, and drug use. You may not link, in any manner, to sites or images containing nudity, sexually explicit themes, gross violence, or content that is determined by the moderators to be detrimental to the community. This includes racist material, game cheats/scripts or advertisements.

Please refrain from posting meaningless threads, one word (or short) nonsense posts, completely off topic responses, or such. This includes monster help threads/posts outside of the monster sections. There is no reward for a high post count, please do not boost it artificially. As such please wait a reasonable amount of time before bumping posts. For strategy questions and general queries this should be 24 hours and for specific troubleshooting issues wait 12 hours. Also, cross-posting is not allowed here. Cross-posting refers to posting new duplicate threads or posts, or the linking to threads or posts already started by the member with the intention of gaining exposure. It is a small forum; other members will see your thread and respond if desired without extra prompting.

When posting graphics in a thread, the size of the graphic must be limited to ensure fast loading times for all forum pages. As such sizes of 800 pixels wide by 800 pixels high are the maximum allowed. Images are not permitted in the Monster Help section. No animated images permitted anywhere on the forum.

You may not post another player’s or an unverified keep link. The forum is not for hit-lists. Please follow these instructions (http://www.castleageforums.com/cforum/showthread.php?t=28926) to verify your keep link, therefore allowing it to be posted.

Monster links belong in the correct monster help sections and threads per posting rules specific to Monster Help (http://castleageforums.com/cforum/showthread.php?t=55324). If a monster link is to be posted outside of monster help (such as for tech support) it needs to be changed to a non-assist link; siege weapon links are not allowed.

III. Thou Shall Have Only One Account
Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed. Your account is yours alone. You are responsible for any activity created with it and as such you may not share your account login with anyone.

IV. (a) Thou Shall Have a Reasonable Signature
Signatures should fit within certain guidelines. A signature may either be 1) up to eight lines of text tall, or 2) comprised of an image or combination of images not exceeding a total of 800 pixels wide and 110 pixels high and up to 2 lines of text. Each text line itself may have up to 90 characters, with blank lines counting towards the line total. Images may not be animated due to load issues. See examples here (http://castleageforums.com/cforum/showpost.php?p=1748988&postcount=1).

IV. (b) Signature
Animation in avatars is not permitted.

V. Thou Shall Accept the Administrator/Moderator's Decisions
Posts discussing moderator actions within the forum are also not allowed. We reserve the right to remove/edit offensive posts without notice in order to retain a friendly and clean atmosphere. We also reserve the right to ban anyone who willfully violates the forum rules, as access to our forums are a privilege and not a right. Also while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums, and its members, are not disrupted or abused in any way.

VI. Thou Shall Keep Virtual and Real Life Separate
Posting what you are doing yourself in the real world is all well and good, however posting someone else's personal information on the forums is not. Do not bring any real life issues with other forum members or post other member's personal information into this forum unless all parties agree to making the information public. Do not post other players’ full names. Everyone is entitled to their own privacy and this desire should be honored.

VII. Forum Live Chat
As a part of the forum, the live chat is subject to the same rules as the main forum, and as such violations of Forum Rules are also subject to disciplinary actions.

Note: We reserve the right to update and modify these rules as the needs of the community dictate to ensure the smooth operation of this community.

Please note there is an Infraction system (http://www.castleageforums.com/cforum/showthread.php?t=8215) in place for those who break the above rules.
