We HIGHLY RECOMMEND binding your character now so you can recover your account easily should you lose your devise in the future.

The "Character Transfer" button is at the very bottom of the "More" tab. Should you have questions, please don't hesitate to ask! Enjoy :D

I have been trying to get my old ios account back for a week the dev said they could do it. I gave them info and.... nothing. These guys customer service has been amazing so far, I hope I get it back.
Question: How many accounts can you bind to your email? Will I be able to bind my new account and then get a new iphone or ipad and bind that account and use them on either device?

I get how the bind feature works (it locks an account to the particular device), but what about retrieve? Am I right in saying that once you bind, you can't retrieve? I was under the impression that the feature would allow you to 'log in' to your account on a device, so that I can check multiple accounts from the same device. Clarifications?

I thought the character transfer function was solely so you can move your iOS account to another device. If you sell your phone and buy a new one etc.

I only have an iPad, so I have no device to transfer my iOS account to. I don't have my iPad with me, either, so I'm kind of blind on the process, but if I click "transfer" then I can send my account info to an email, and it'll just be there for future reference? Is this something we should do regularly, like a computer file backup? Frankly if I lose my iPad I've got bigger concerns than my CA account, but I don't want to do something now that will prevent me from doing it later, if I ever DO get an iPhone.

Can you say more about what this means? I already use the App on multiple devices, or is this just for non-FB accounts?

Everyone needs to bind their character to their email ASAP. When you bind your character it is just saving that email address that you type in to their records so that whenever you break your iPhone (like I did) you can retrieve it later by using the retrieve function. But if you do not bind your account now (before you break your iPhone) you can not retrieve it later.

Allow me to clarify how the process works a bit more.

When binding your character, you are essentially linking it to a particular email. This way if you ever lose a device or need to transfer to a new one, everything will be sent to a particular address. Should you not bind your character and want to retrieve a character on a new device, it won't be possible.

Retrieving a character is when you want to bring them onto a new iOS, after binding your character to an email. You can add them to as many iOS devices as you want.

The option to unbind a character to a device is also available, should you want to do so. This will essentially reset you to the default settings.

Also, we've tested this extensively in house with every iOS device we could get our hands on. We didn't encounter any issues, but if you do please let us know ASAP.

I like that progress is being made and if my phone is lost I can get back the character but I guess I am still going to have to continue to be on pins and needles waiting for the option to transfer to facebook. I would think it would be easy for me to be able to go to facebook now and use this binded account- correct me if I am wrong devs

Transferring from ios to FB needs to stay a Devs only option. Otherwise there's too much potential for abuse.

It had to be done, people upgrade phones constantly.

There will most likely not be a iOS to FB version, at least for a long time. The risk involved is to severe as is the data transferring.

iOS will see most of the features FB does in due time.

Notice that there's also not a FB to FB option. In rare situations where it's needed, the Devs need to handle it personally. That's how it should be.

I bound my phone today. No problems until I was halfway through a battle. I picked up phone to drop a few tokens and the app wanted me to log on from scratch. It wanted me to create a character from scratch. Shut down the program, still wanted me to do it from scratch. I finally rebooted the phone and it finally went back to my full account. Scared me for a minute.

Someone earlier mentioned selling an ios account with this option. I never thought about that. I am curious as to what the market value would be.

Same question. I assume that in the future, we will be able to login to our iOS accounts on an iOS device using the e-mail address and password that we have bound to that account? I realize that option is not currently available, but I think it would solve a few issues. And I'm genuinely excited about this potential.

Same question. Is the newly launched character transfer option lossless? I've seen other posts prior to this launch where players migrating to a new iOS device lost guild class status and class abilities previously purchased, along with any saved guild coins. Will we still lose all of that when migrating to a new device? Better yet: we will lose ANYTHING when migrating? This is probably the most important question.

That didn't answer my question. If I use email1@yourdomain.com to login to my Facebook account (to access my Facebook CA character) and I bind my iOS account to the same email1@yourdomain.com... will that complicate matters from the devs end? I guess it's best to use a different e-mail address, just in case, but wondered if that had been tested in-house yet?

There is an issue that has arisen since this change, I was on iOS and the game crashed during login, probably weak or changing signal standard to 3G or back, I had to reset the app, closing it down, double clicking centre button and closing the app down, I then restarted the game and it auto logged to iOS, which it normally does, to my surprise it logged me on as a new user with the intro etc, after closing it back down again it went back to my account, it may be minor but I don't know what would happen of you started playing as a new user not realising.

I lost my castle age character because of this whole binding/ transfer character button so my character right now is stuck in Limbo with no bound email address. I know my characters army code and I read on the forums here that if you had your army code you could retrieve that character again. Here's my situation. I have one character linked to my iPhone. I also have another character linked to my wifi only iPad. I go on vacation in week to a location where wifi will not be available and so I will be unable to access that character.

I have now bound both of these characters to different email addresses. Using this new feature, would I be able switch between the two characters at the drop of a hat on one device? I doubt I would try to manage two characters in a guild battle like this. But maybe switch a couple of times a day to burn off energy and stamina.

I've bound both characters I have to different e-mails. One on my i4 and one on my old i3. I don't want to drop my first character until I'm sure I can swap between the to by recalling each one. Had anyone done it yet?

Go to the bind character section. You should have the option to retrieve bound character. Follow the directions and you should be set.

I'm not sure I understand completely, but I do know the account binding is meant more as an emergency recovery than as a regular log in system. It's to help switch an account to a new device, rather than to allow multiple accounts to be played on one.

Tomorrow during business hours (January 2, 9am - 5pm Pacific) try to catch Padaxan or Flarin in the General Chatroom (see the bar at the bottom of the screen).
