Oracle Items - Althaea

I know that Althaea isn't unlocked until level 50, but is it possible to get her before?

Also would one benefit getting her before level 50 if it is possible?

You would benefit of it in the same way that you would benefit if you were >50! That is, in GBs you'd have a bonus on damage, nothing more nothing less.

I don't think it is possible to purchase her if you are <50, because unlike CA reg there's no real link to her because of flash.

I've seen like one person below 50 with all Althaea items!
How did they get it?

Tester account perhaps? Not all dev accounts are labeled as such, so it's a possibility.

Personally I think they should be, but we've found a few in CA that weren't so I assume the same can hold true in HoD.

OK at lvl 4 without the extra items Althaea is a 14/14 and does an extra +20 damage in guild battles.

There are two ways to look at this:
1. Every little bit of damage helps. Without getting the extra equipment, her EAtt/Edef is 23.8 so you can compare that to Aroldir and his EAtt/EDef of 23.2/24.4. Also, you never know if they might bring in a Kaylen type guardian which gives + Att for each Guardian owned.

2. This is the other way to look at it just so you can make your own decision.
Althaea costs you 30 FP then you need to get her equipment to get the most out of her, so thats another 75 FP so grand total of 105 FP. Now lets see what we have. this makes Althaea a 15/15 with + 20 damage +1 Stamina. That Stamina point you can get for free by praying to Azeron. Her EAtt/ EDef is 25.5 granted, but when you look at the fact that her +20 damage is negated by the Warlock's Mana Shield which gives +60 Absorb damage at lvl 1... The bonuses that you are really buying are 1 Stamina, 2.3 Att, and 1.1 Def. Give me 4 days of praying and I can get 3 Att 2.1 Def and 1 Stamina for free...

Now that I have presented both sides you have to decide. Is Althaea worth $17.50 to you?

I think you may have been misinformed - I'm only level 32 and I had no problem buying her from the oracle. And she is still showing as the available guardian for sale on the oracle page to me:
