I'm not a dev, but I have read on other posts that they have a limit on the time between quitting one guild and joining another. One of my recent members had to wait 17hrs--though she may have actually had to wait 24hrs.

The reason behind this is that a number of people were creating guilds of 1 person ~~ Starting guild battles ~~ disbanding the guild ~~ and then making another one. This was exploited severely and the devs were nice enough to provide a work-around for those of us who have larger guilds.

I'd give it at least 24hrs from quitting one, and if at that point you still can't join a new guild, repost here and send in a message to the developers using the Report function at the bottom of the application page.

>Edit: My browser used to crash when I went to the management tab too. However, if you let it sit there for 5-10mins, it usually catches up and opens. There have been a lot of problems reported with this issue too.

I have posted about this on another thread.. the guild battle on I think because the subject dcame up there, but will say here too. It's not a problem wiht the user's browser. It seems to be a problem with some guilds and not others. With my guild, nobody can get into the management tab - flash crashes for all of us, no matter what browser and what version of Flash. Clearing the cache, as previously suggested, makes no difference. But I have a friend who is an officer in a different guild, and doesn't have a problem there - but if he logs in to fb as me and tries to go to my management tab, flash crashes.. So some guilds work, some are stuck in limbo, and this needs to be addressed urgently because it has been happening for some weeks now. I would give you my guild link but I have no idea how to find a link with flash.. There are a lot of people who cant leave guilds, and a lot of guilds that cannot accept members, and that's not good.

our guild has the same issue. our management page finally loads after a while, but it won't scroll down far enough to leave the guild. I can send invites, blast our guild but it will only scroll down to the first 4 members names. we want to leave this guild ( created on sept 1) and join forces with another group but no one can get to the "leave Guild" option.....
I did send in a report to the devs and their answer back was to try different browsers or clean my Cache.. which I wrote back I had already tried and it didn't help.

only way I could find our guild ID was to copy a guild blast link so here it is.

Any help on getting our guild unstuck would be greatly appreciated

"But I have a friend who is an officer in a different guild, and doesn't have a problem there - but if he logs in to fb as me and tries to go to my management tab, flash crashes"

I am genuinely confused as to why it would be a profile-specific problem rather than a computer based error. I had assumed it was something that was causing a crash between my computer and the flash software as multiple people had the tab crash when they logged on with my computer.

Since it might be a profile related issue, do you happen to have Secure Browsing enabled on your computer? I know there have been some of my guildmates who've had problems magically stop when they turn that setting off in their FB account settings. If secure browsing is off, perhaps try flipping it on?

"our management page finally loads after a while, but it won't scroll down far enough to leave the guild."

Pam, to fix the partial page loading issues, you might be able to alter your secure browsing as well. Also, make sure that you are trying to scroll down within the application screen, and not the outside frame. Facebook now has the game load in an internal frame within the main window (so they can bombard us with crappy ads). It might be that you aren't scrolling down in the right place---otherwise, you can try pushing the Tab key repeatedly and seeing if that allows you to hop down on the page. I've had to use that before the first time the frames were introduced.

<edit> Pam, a second option would be to ask your guildmaster if s/he would be willing to remove you from the guild if the entire management page is loading for him/her. That is one of the powers of the GM and if you can't fix the problem yourself, I would hope that your GM would be willing to help you.

DarkenRahl, Thank you for your suggestions.... and yep, I am trying to scroll down within the frame itself. and that is the problem, no one in the guild can get it to scroll down. Some can't even get the partial page to load. I do not have secured browsing enabled because I play zygna games and it needs turned off for those. But I did try loading it with secured browsing enabled and it still only loads a partial page. I tried the tab clicking and watched it cycle through 3 times but it never moved my scroll bar down any I have tried in 3 different browsers ( IE8, Chrome and FF), and on 3 different computers in the house and emptied the cache in all 3 before trying. I sent a screen shot of how it only scrolls down a tiny distance to the devs yesterday, but it is too big of an image to post here.
Has to be in the guild itself, since with 10 or 12 people I know of have tried to access the 'leave guild' button and can not.

okay found a workable solution on another thread and I tried it and it works.

Ok, at first I couldn't quit my guild either cause of the management window, after trying IE, firefox and chrome on windows, and firefox, chromium and seamonkey on linux, I suddenly saw the light... the button, actually.

This can't be done using firefox, since it will direct to a page saying flash player got an error and won't load the page with those errors, but I could do this in Chromium (so I'm guessing Chrome too, I think IE as well since I could load the window with errors there). Just load the management window, at first it'll look like it stalled, but if you let it long enough, it'll load with errors, you can't scroll through the guild members, and you'll see a bar (supposed to be on the bottom of the page) right under some of the officers and guild members. Under one of the members, you can see there's a button hidden if you look closely, that's the QUIT button, just try to click it carefully either in the up or bottom side of the button without clicking in the guild member over the button and you'll get prompted if you really want to quit...

And that's all, you're free
