Hello all,

What's the point of being a wall? OK, I can't win against you, so what?

What's so good or important on it that pushes a player to put mostly all SP to def and so forgetting about all other aspects of the game that require a lot of att power, stamina and energy?

I personally enjoy playing all over the game rather than sitting in the home page watching players bouncing at me.

I really don't get the idea on this.

Thanks!

I'm a wall hybrid in CA: HoD

I know what you mean, and being a pure wall is I think really passive and useless? Yes where's the fun in that?

So I choose a wall hybrid, so my stat progression is Def, Energy and Stam, and minimal on att.

I play a wall... I enjoy watching players many times my level bouncing, not believing it and trying again & finally again to make certain sure the result was right first time around.

It's even better when I can stop by and beat them the other way too. :)

The game is about PvP. what better way to excel?

I may understand your fun but I don't think this is a PvP game since there is only one tab out of a lot where you can go PvP. There are a lot of other things to do rather than PvP.

So, question, you just don't care about questing, killing monsters, getting items and so?

At least you added the hybrid part and not completelly wall so you are open to other aspects of the game too. :)

I quest, I kill monsters and get items - not as quickly or efficiently as other builds certainly.

at the end of the day though why collect all these items? then replace them with better stuff?

I think the game revolves around PvP as everything in the game makes you build stronger in PvP terms...

You got a point there. :)

Game should then point to more PvP action/options and I'm not just talking about guild battles that are yet to come (probably Arena also) because those, at least to me, are kind of boring already. I sadly stopped doing PvP stuff in regular CA because it just takes you to nothing. Individual PVP battles just give ranks that give you nothing in reward and guild battles give nothing also. I have played hundreds and hundreds of regular guild battles for nothing in return. Festival battles gave rewards but regular ones don't, it's like battling with no end.

At least some kind of rewards for monthly best PvP players or guilds, or at least a trophy room where to display or exhibit your game achievements.

Anyway, I'm not currently attached to PvP as it takes me nowhere in the game.

agreed. Most definitely. The question is what? how to keep it balanced?

I set my own goals for PvP.

Mostly they revolve around beating other people - mostly in my guild.

new rewards would be cool! as would a trophy room - to some extent we already have a trophy room - as peeps can look over your keep and see what you have. I think an area to display the top 5 items peeps are most proud of would be cool... :)

I am not a wall, but I enjoy the free experience when people bounce off of me!

100% agree!!!

Even if it's more than 5 items and able to display other achievements and game progress.

I'm positive 9 out of 10 players would like to exhibit their game progress and best achievements. Just check user's signatures in this forum like the one in the post above. :)

If not, where are we going on an endless game? I don't want to lose interest like it already happened with regular CA. And I didn't look for that, it just happened. :(

It's allowed me to passively accumulate a ton of battle points without ever having to attack anyone.

Walls are wonderful builds. If your defense is high enough, your attack is still pretty awesome.

Hi Mike,

I still maintain my point, being a wall to easily accumulate battle points to get "Ranks" that take you to nothing? Let's say I am a "High King", OK, I get the "High Kings Crown" and that's it?

As told, we should have a trophy room to at least exhibit our achievements and unlock different paths, rewards, new things, I don't know something! to make a real difference.

Right now what's the big or real difference between a 100 points Rank 1 - Scout and a 100000 points Rank 1 High King?

Hi dude,

It's just that I don't enjoy battling anymore. I quit doing battling stuff in regular CA. I got tired of battling hundreds of battles and killing thousands of hits for nothing. You can just fight forever in regular battles and you get nothing in return. Regular battles takes you nowhere. :(

I'm not really worried about my PvP rank, but I do like to have the gear that is awarded as you climb up the battle rank ladder. Having a lot of defense allows me to focus on the things I want, like quests and monsters, while still passively gaining battle ranks so I can get that gear.

That's fine, not all of us enjoy the same things. I personally despise the raids, guild battles, and most of all the chests, but I still enjoy PvP because I'm good at it, and I have a lot of friends who are also good at it. It provides me with a never-ending challenge because all of us are improving all the time. If you want a challenge, try beating me in PvP. I used to be one of the medium-high builds on the forums, and if you can beat me, move on to a harder target. If you can't keep working at it until you can. My link is in my sig.

To me, the 14 * 5 = 70 skill points, and items you get for the rank. There is also War, and champion duel as well... But to be honest I consider the game PVP based because when it started there were no monsters to fight :)

I didn't mean that Lok, I asked for real differences. Everey aspect of the game gives you regular items, skill points directly or energy that helps you level up to get skill points. That's not a difference.

I was talking about a real difference, what can a High King achieve that a Scout can't?

I mean, in real military, army or any squad that has ranks; generals, commanders, captains or any high level officers have more abilities, access or capabilities to do things that low rank soldiers can't, but in CA being on a higher rank (regardless that you of course obtained some items or more skill points because of regular game progress) gives you nothing extra compared to low ranked players. Being a high ranked player should allow you to do stuff low level players can't.

Please make a difference in CA HOD. :)

personally I find collecting shinies is also completely useless, so I've decided in both HoD and CA to build for pvp only. Because I like beating other people in pvp, and that's it.

I also like seeing how efficient i can be in gaining pvp stats. I've chosen different paths in CA and in HoD to be better at pvp. but the end goal is the same :)

I think you're trying to rationalize this too much. Some people enjoy building for pvp, and that's it, I don't need any special reward, my reward is in each skill point i manage to add to defense or attack.

If you think pvp/being a wall is not fun/useless, then don't play like that.

Um guys and gals, try to stay on topic with HoD. There are no raids, guild wars and as far as I can tell Defense doesn't add to the damage you do in monsters so the 70% rule may not be in effect in HoD.

So that said Defense seems only useful in PvP. Seeing as therefore Attack is far more useful I'm personally not going with a Defensive build seeing how even more limited it is in HoD compared to CA.

Monster hunting is the same , you just click away. Some perfer to test themselves against someone they may loss (that in itself is a reward, not all rewards have to be physical items), with monsters there is no danger of lossing. The I don't understand that kind of build statement can be said about all builds. In CA I am a wall build and believe me my guild is happy for it...I not only can bounce and heal a gate , but can hit players nuch higher then I am. In HOD I am more balance build, not because i don't like def, just want to try something new.
