View Full Version : We should be battling the new bosses already

OK, imho, the bossses (currently in standy-by mode) should be released soon.
If the quest/stages are available, if the orbs are available, why the bosses are not? Why let a player complete a quest that ends dropping a summoning orb if summoning is not yet possible? In regular CA when a new quest area was released it was released completelly, boss included.
Mostly when finding an alive Acheron to fight has become really hard since everyone is hunting the forums, links and public monsters area looking for an Acheron to kill.
I believe the new bosses should be now released. We have the orbs so we should be battling Carmilla, Belial and Faust already.

I think the reason we are not is they are not ready, I'd rather wait a while to have them right than rushed through as we are struggling to find Acheron's ( though my guild are finding enough to keep us happy).
If folks can still collect double, triple, or more times from a single Acheron .. I'll gladly wait to battle the newer monsters. Let the devs iron out monster battle issues with just a single monster, then any new issues should seemingly just be text and graphics (not function related).
Though I have joked with others that the Acheron health should doubled or more when he's made public. Those darn public ones die in 5 minutes or less.

Not at all dude, but why that ironic message? What's the point with it? When you don't agree to an idea you must answer with an ironic response to the OP or it would be much better to provide explanation as to why you don't agree?

devs will release new content when they want to - not when you or anyone else tells them to.
it is theirgame, let them develop it their way. and if anything, my post illustrated the devs make all these people with "such humble opinions" upset no matter what they do. we dont need each person with 'a humble opinion' to post their own thread about what they think devs should do, when there are already preexisting threads on the subject.

I get your point, but have been active in the forum for a bit longer than you. That in no way makes me better, but I may be more conversant with the norm/culture/tone. maybe darkrider. some people are already spending real money on FP to do refills for the game. that is their prerogative, of course.
i view HOD as the devs, "second chance" so to speak. all the imbalancing things or most common complaints in CA can be rectified, somewhat, in HOD.
and the most common complaints about CA are, "monsters are too hard", "too many updates", "old content isnt ever fixed", "too much power creep", "we need teh toolz, teh toolz to play CA!!!!", and the "need to spend money to do well in the game".
there are other common complaints of course, but i chose the ones that seem to crosscut through all groups no matter what your build or playing style is.

Isn't this a CA forum with different categories or I missed the place?
And you say "we dont need each person"?... "we"? Are you a dev or something? Or just another idiot trying to be better than other forum members?

Quite honestly they are fixing all the bugs with the current monster before they release the next. The coding module for a monster is something reusable for each monster type with small parameter changes. There is no sense releasing the new ones until all the issues are completely addressed with the old ones.
Think of each section of the game as a module and each section is currently being bug tested by us reported to the devs and polished by them before expanding further. You don't build a house on a wet foundation you wait until it is completely solid.
We are all impatient but it we'll be here before we know it so hang in there.

I don't think so buddy. Don't let my number of messages trick you. I have been in these forums for years now and playing CA even before so I won't allow a stupid forist ( I'm not talking about you by the way ;) ) that thinks that the quantity of posted messages allows him to watch the rest of the forum members from a highest spot.

Before posting I do a search, sometimes I find what I'm looking for, sometimes I don't (although it can still be on the forums). If the Mods believe I am repeating a thread or missed the category they will correct/move as needed, so "WE" don't need people like you pointing out or complaining on repeated threads. Your nick doesn't say "Admin" nor "Mod".
Just deal with it as I will keep speaking my mind here, and maybe I will repeat some other threads, yes, I believe so.

is there something wrong with posting paraphrases of common complaints the devs hear on an almost daily basis with regular CA? is there something wrong with sarcasm? is there something wrong with me expressing myself the way i want to?
we are lucky devs are still letting us play HOD at all and just didnt reset us all, kick us out, and say "wait til we are ready for it to be officially released".
when the devs want to release new content, great. if that takes 1 day, 5 days, or 2 weeks - fine. as stormlrd stated, its imperative for the devs to get acheron 'perfect' before moving on to making monsters based on almost the exact same coding.
and i dont see why my forum posts have you worked up anyway. i havent called you stupid, an idiot, a 'forist' (whatever that is), implying that you are somehow better than me, or anything. unlike what you have been calling me? :p

OK, should I have called you "my king" seeing that you are from the "royalty"?
If you don't know another way but sarcasm to answer to the opinion of a forum member then don't be surprised if you are gifted with retaliation.
Learn to be a good person right from the beginning, well, not a good person, I don't care how you are in your real life, just a good forum member and next time answer as expected because NO ONE in these forums post waiting for sarcasm in return but a nice response, in favor or against.

Not only hate mails as there is money already involved on this. That is a sign that they won't reset the accounts because if CA HOD is still "in development" as Devs say, they shouldn't have allowed people to buy FPs, but they did, intentionally, so no reset will come or a dark cloud could cover CA HOD.

true alpha x about the FP situation. some of my guildies talked about how they would be afraid of spending real money in a game this early because you have no idea if it will be pulled, or if devs will do something to completely change the game to make it a game you would hate to keep playing. accusations are already flying around that HOD is supposed to be the dev's big monkey maker game now.

I know the argument is down between you two, but I just wanted to touch on something that's kind of a pet peeve of mine ^^;;
If the Mods believe I am repeating a thread or missed the category they will correct/move as needed, so "WE" don't need people like you pointing out or complaining on repeated threads. Your nick doesn't say "Admin" nor "Mod".
This is not true. If anyone has moderated a site with a large fan base to it, then they KNOW that they rely upon the members to assist with the "moderating." It's like I told someone, saying they wish they were a mod so they could use their ban hammer on people, after I resigned as a moderator at GZF: A good moderator is one who can handle things civilly without the use of their powers. Being a moderator is just a different way of saying that they have had a level of respect, while respecting others, in an outstanding way. They're entrusted with that power, because the admins know they'll use it appropriately. That means when things are deemed necessary, they use their powers.
So, we as the community, must do everything to support the mods, and handle things in that same civil manner as the mods have. When new people come in, disrupting the civility of the forums, it IS up to us to stand in and take charge, and if it's still not being resolved, THAT'S when the mods should step in absolutely. So, if there are repeating threads, the community does have a right to inform you of such (some will be more sarcastic, others more friendly).
And please Alpha, don't take this as a personal attack. Like I said, it's a personal pet peeve of mine, on more levels than just on forums. I'm just saying this, because while some might silently be aware of this, others are not, and so I hope it's just something that they get woken up to as a sense of duty, being a PROUD member of this community, as a PROUD player of CA, as a PROUD friend of the people that they have come to known here.

Agree, primarily we are all responsible to moderate our selves (so read what you've typed before posting to minimise the chances of posting in anger or submitting an entry widely open to misinterpretation).
Secondly we are all responsible to not add or start fires so if someone posts a questionable post or a post in the wrong place or a repeat post we should not be making a big deal about it but should try and politely (if possibly firmly) advise.
A mods primary job is to monitor and try to prevent/divert flaming (this is often done secretly in 'hidden' ID's in a lot of forums and games rather than in their main, recognisable mod ID) and we can all help to do that, use of powers is and should always be a last resort but is on that must be used if and when all other options have been exhausted :D
Just because you don't see a mod/dev, doesn't mean they aren't there watching and or posting and doin their job ;)
Bristolen was never, in any way derogatory towards Alpha X, so I thought his insults were unwarranted. I'm glad it's resolved, but honestly, Alpha you can't come onto a forum where their are people with conflicting ideas/personalities,and get so sensitive. People are going to be helpful, detrimental, polte, or rude. Bristolen merely was stating an observation, which wasn't very far off considering the last 2 months of forum vs. dev tirades.SHE just happened to express HERSELF on your thread and you got a bit butt hurt. I'm not trying to stir it up. Just giving you an objective outside PoV. kthxbai

No, there's opportunity there. Just not all the content that people would like, thus the "enticement" of spending those favor points. Plus, there's still some issues since they now have to make the FB Credits work appropriately with their games, plus also having the programming for HoD work correctly as it shouldn't, so they don't get a whole bunch of trouble tickets.
Their goal is, yes, money, but that big goal is defined by smaller goals, which one of those smaller goals is making their service actually serve people. How often do you not spend money somewhere because the service wasn't well? If a company's service is poor, so will their revenue. If their service is excellent, so is their revenue. Actual product material accounts for a small portion compared to the service of said product.
