Is it just my browser or the web3 monsters are all screwed up in terms of page display?

Yup, just checked - I don't normally use it - and it's pretty much out of whack for me too.

They have updated it to the new format...Ugh. Looks like they broke it alright.

Sucks, web3 is the only way I can play from work as FB is banned. Knowing the devs though, it might be a while for it to get fixed....:(

You can bypass by using the direct things that aren't cheating but we're not allowed talk about for now :D

Well at this point, I can't see how you can by-pass the actual monster page. The one where you actually attack or collect the loot.
Sure, I can go to either http://web3.castleagegame.com/castle_ws/battle_monster.php
or
http://web3.castleagegame.com/castle_ws/player_monster_list.php
Which both work just fine in web3 for me. It's when I'm trying to fight the monster that it breaks and won't display the "attack" button (different name for different classes but the result is the same).
Such as http://web3.castleagegame.com/castle_ws/battle_monster.php?casuser=100000189250606&mpool=3 (dead monster, can't collect loot).
Update: Looks much better in Firefox (not perfect but usable). Seems like it's mostly a Chrome thing.

Think they figured out people are using web3 on their mobiles. So they **** it up so they cant and will start using the iphoney app.
Aren't we allowed to say LINK ? As in Direct Link to what ever function in the game that have links to them?

on my firefox it's all fine.

No, we are not allowed discuss them, even though it's not cheating per se. There's a damn massive sticky about it and all manners of cheating you know . So that I unfortunately cannot explain it to Thanos on here.

So the APPROVED thread by LilKayla witch even is in the Useful links thread is all of the sudden outlawed?

Links to places in Castle Age (such as the ones Thanos posted) are fine to discuss here. Explaining how to cheat (writing scripts, links to script programs other people have written, etc.) is what is not allowed.

BY KORI: WHAT IS CHEATING
Questionable (Don't post, but not considered as cheating.)
-Epic Quests for Land of Fire and Land of Earth
-Direct attack links, e.g. 50 Stamina Attack
How about you inform yourself before you argue the hind legs off a fly like you like doing all the time.

Ok, now I know what you're talking about. I guess I could use such a link. Kind of a pain and since Firefox works well enough to attack, I don't need to use it for the time being. If Firefox breaks as well at some point, I'll remember now (had completely forgotten about those links seeing as I never use them because I have so little stamina I don't need to increase my stam button).
As for the direct links, I wonder if you can join a monster by defending it rather than attacking it hehe. Next time I join a new monster, I'm going to try and defend it from the link rather than attack it to see what happens (probably something like you're not currently in the battle I'm guessing).

You can join a monster through defending it.
And you now own Banthus. You'll find yourself begging for the unmentionable links soon enough.

I'm bumping this up again because my Aurelius is currently garbled on both web3 AND Facebook, and I'm currently using Google Chrome. Is the garbled graphics news item spreading from IE to other browsers now? Is it just me? Do my donuts entice you? Anyone? Bueller? :D

I'm messed up monsters on Firefox too.
Also, the gift sending system seems to have changed and timers on the likes of guild battles & monsters aren't counting down any more.
Edit; The festival game has stopped working too

My festival game isn't working either. I wonder if the two things are linked.... perhaps they're releasing the second game. I hope the stats from the first game carry over :D

As posted by Tass in a thread in General Discussions...
Hello everyone,
We're in the midst of converting Castle Age to a Facebook Iframe app right now, a necessity to conform to specific Facebook policies in the near future.
There may be some bumps during this process, but we will try to address them quickly.
Kudos to Tass for the update... expect things to be wonky for a bit.

Nothing to do with the update/maintenance, but despite the upgrading of the monster page in web3, the monster codes don't work. You can enter them into the little box but the search doesn't do anything.

Call me out of touch, but didn't the web industry try to move away from iframes years ago? Why has FB decided this is now the right direction?

Actually FB rolled out iFrames back in February. They are in the process of deprecating FBML and FBJS as a primary technology for building apps on Facebook. In fact as of this past March you could not longer develop apps in FBML or FBJS.
I am sure the FB moved to this in part because it is stable and supported by just about every browser either directly or through backwards compatibility.

Looks like they have CA back up and running in iframes. I've got to say, it looks awful with that horizontal scroll bar. Perhaps the trick from now on is to play it outside of FB.

I just spent 500 stam on my monster only to see the damage was not added to my damage count, hope its just the counter that is not being properly updated :\
