War Question

I am confused about how War works in the battle section. I have been having hard time winning duels in the War section. Could someone please tell me what these points are for or what they are added onto. West Rampart 2 points, mage tower 3 points, archer wall 1 point, main gate 5 points, armory 1 point, tower 3 points, and east rampart 2 points. For my war council I have added the following generals.

West Rampart- Aethyx
Mage tower-Slyvana
archer wall-Darius
Main Gate-Me
Armory-Keira
Tower-Lucius
East Rampart-Percival

I was curious as to whether Generals like Vanquish and Dante have any place in the War Council? Do their player bonuses apply in war?

General abilities do NOT make a difference unless you have them equiped. If they are only in your war council they only use their stats :)

I did read the link mentioned, and it talked about the best generals for the job before and after getting their special items, and it listed the best weapons/armor/etc.

But not everyone has had the opportunity to acquire a collection of the best generals for war. The formula for picking the best generals from what you have is pretty straight forward, except in the case of Vanquish and Dante. Their abilities boost the player's stats. This seems like it might be valuable if it works in war, but I did not see that mentioned, nor even those particular generals so the answer to my question was not included in the War Guide, at least not under Generals.

CA is not always transparent as to how it works its different sections of the game. I merely wanted to verify if the player bonuses applied if Dante or Vanquish were used in War Council or not - obviously they have to be equipped to do so. If I am choosing generals upon their stats alone, its easy, but if Dante is going to give me a +10 boost to my defense, it might be worth including him over a general who it just point something stronger than he. This was not covered in the War Guide.

Anty - rereading the answers above, I think you did answer my question. You are saying I will only get the ability boost when one of those generals is equipt as my main general? I will NOT get that advantage if say, I put Dante in the War Council but have Celesta as my general on duty while I am away from the computer?

So Vanquish might be worth considering if I was also using her as my main general while battling, but Dante probably isn't if I use another general to 'guard my keep' while I'm away?

Only YOUR equipped general uses their ability. None of the ones in your war council (unless of course they are your active general at the time) will use their ability.

get the 30 fp collected and get adrainna her -3 defense to opponets war is what you want plus her stats are good enuff for you
