Not so invincible army :D

yeah that was OUR thought too LOL
in-invincible? uninvincible... maybe it is VINCIBLE? we still haven't figured out the Opposite of invincible LOL
you know that's very insulting, don't you?
not only you pick bones against Corv Corps, now you publicly humiliate another guild whom you beat.
like you, i say the things they are, do you not know when to stop, think.. that the opponent are humans too?!

You think there's some shame in losing?
I'm sorry, we disagree on that.

I don't know... If you name yourself Invincible Army and you get shut out you kind of deserve some ribbing.
that's their darned own problem what they want to name it. they can name them-self "undefeated" if they like.
who are you to publicly ridicule them on a public boards? "hahaha, undefeated my ass, hahaha!"

All I see is some guild pride in downing a 100 member guild with no casualties at the final head count and some good natured joshing at the situational irony arising from the guild's name and their situation.
Nicely done Gnome. Was it luck, tactics, or a coordinated cleric assault at the end that kept all of your guild alive and kicking at the end?
we've fought in guild battles for almost (or maybe over) half a year, people with enough guild battle knowledge will know how to reproduce a similar effect, provided that:
- opponent guild had mostly given up,
- 4 gates of own guild was still alive,
- during the last few minutes, using "heal" to try to reproduce a 100 (or their maximum guild number count).
or maybe the above steps wasn't necessary at all, that the enemy are just that weak. but was this really necessary?
explain to me in simple terms how this (the one quoted below) is conveying guild pride more than what i described to be an intended jest to boost what has already been inflated.
yeah that was OUR thought too LOL
in-invincible? uninvincible... maybe it is VINCIBLE? we still haven't figured out the Opposite of invincible LOL
my own definition of conveying guild pride is patting own fellow warriors on the back, saying "thanks a lot, we couldn't have done it without you".

That quote is the part where good natured joshing at situational irony comes in.
Unless you consider that smack talk. A few people I know consider just about anything to be horribly offensive smack talk in SC2 and get quite worked up about it.

someone wee in your cereal this morning? or just wearing cranky pants? :p
IMO, hubris should expect ridicule when warranted, and this was a perfect opportunity for I&S to celebrate an accomplishment, as well as allow others to note the irony of the defeated

Lol. Some people are just too sensitive. It's a game, do you think those guys care too much that they lost? I'm sure even they saw the irony in the situation :p
And I don't see this as a public humiliation. They probably lost because they have less time to spend online and have been playing CA for less time than the people in Ye old *long name here* . I don't see why anyone should feel bad because of that.

this entire COLOSEUM section of the boards is where we post our battles for others to watch... when "Xyz Team" vs "AbC force" posts on this board. Only ONE team wins the other loses... I don't see you posting in any of the other threads complaining that the WINNING team is humilitating the losing team by posting here?... I have posted links were I&S was in battle were we LOST also ... such as our battle with PvPvM (here is the link... http://174.37.115.166/cforum/showthread.php?t=49593 or with AKQ here: http://174.37.115.166/cforum/showthread.php?t=43894 or here a classic loss to Legends 1 http://174.37.115.166/cforum/showthread.php?t=46584 and here http://174.37.115.166/cforum/showthread.php?t=46237 CC called us Buggahs :) at all times we took the ribbing and smiled cause it was in FUN ) I KNOW DSC has posted LOTS of links here were they WON and were sometimes a bit silly about it there pride in winning... let see how about here: http://174.37.115.166/cforum/showthread.php?t=50408
So relax... I think you may still have a bit of your underoos in a bunch over me calling some people RAISE thier standards some... this is not the best way to do that in my humble opinion... This was a TOUGH accomplishement especially considering we had ONE tower with only 3 people in it keeping them alive was very hard... the GOOD thing was we did have a superior advantage in Numbers ... (but not in level they have some very tough players) and when we sealed THIER last tower the fight did seem to go out of them ... there was a LOT less activity the last hour so we decided to SEE if we could heal up also... it was FUN they were laughing also (those that were left) and we are PROUD of it... the irony of their name was part of the HUMOR... If you haven't guessed by OUR name we take SERIOUS names very UNSERIOUSLY at I&S and many have poked fun at our name ... including ourselves :)
posting matches are up to your subjectivity, as there is nothing wrong in that, this is the Colosseum after all. you're not getting the point, it wasn't about you posting the match, it was about you failing to show proper respect to a defeated guild.
"give a defeated man a warrior's death", as a respect for battle well fought, in which i failed to detect in you, not a single bit.
if you can think that after you lose, other guilds are free to piss on your grave,... i'd like to see if, if you can actually walk your talk, then i'll keep my mouth shut, until then, i'd assume the otherwise.
with regards to the DSC match thread you posted, that was the only single time we posted a match in the Colosseum, with special circumstance following it. i can hardly categorize that as "LOTS".
do what you like, but as you continue on to fail to show proper respect, so will i continue to scrutinize, question your intent.

you are correct I couldn't find LOTS but I have found many posts were YOU failed to show respect... not just here in the coloseuam but throughout this forum so I now realize you are just trolling... and I show respect by Laughing I am a BARD a court jester ... did you read the 4 posts were we poked fun at OURSELVES in respect to our enemies... that is and has been I&S style ... has been for a LONG time HANE ... so I am gonna RESPECT you now and name you with your new silly name... get your "HAYNESINABUNCH" again over I&S and get more silliness from us LOL. We are here to have fun... so RELAX and just do that... like I said the Invincible Army laughed in the chat log and some have even sent FR so if they are cool with it who are you to take imagined slight over it... I&S respects all we fight with ... we just show it a bit different than others...
if i fail to show respect, that guy probably deserved it... maybe you're talking about Janusz? nearly every forumitez hatez him, or am i not correct?

The Gnome hate nobody in this game... Hate is a very strong thing and is reserved for something other than a game :)

Hey Guys,
This may well be a cultural difference.
In many cultures across the world it would be considered very bad manners to flaunt a win over other people who for all intents and purposes were nice people.
It would be one thing to be tacky to a person who was tacky to you.. but it would be completely different to laugh or joke about winning over people who had done nothing "wrong" to you, except lose a game to you.
No need to make it worse :)

I guess the CULTURAL issue is about "PROPER"... in Gnomish Culture it is proper to have FUN. it is also Proper to not assume the worst about someone... without proof otherwise. In Gnomish culture if you wonder you ask (like when I asked about the CC issue wich Me and CC dealt with in a PROPER way like GentleGnomes... and not in a disrespectful way like accusing someone of being rude... when they had no idea what was going on... As I had said the Invincible Army found it funny too and we frequently take our beatings along with our JIBES bout being wee little Gnomes with Grace and it is part of what makes it fun for us... We also sometimes BRAG (its a scottish thing I especially am proud of the SIZE of my prodigous Probiscus ... and I also brag about what I got under under me kilt... and it ain't HAYNES by the way LOL)

Yes I know. I know you meant no harm.. and it was a cool victory. Just struck me when I read this thread that the "misunderstanding" reeks of cultural differences, not true "right or wrong" issues.
I love learning about other cultures.. (and being a CRO YOU should too gnome boy, lol).

The newly formed guild I joined yesterday also pulled off this feat today in our first ever guild battle. We have only 19 members. We finished them (I guess they only had 99 players so its not as impressive) with 3 minutes left. The enemy guild did only have 0 total activity though(I thought that was weird for an automatch), so it's not really impressive at all I guess...

You're wrong, I doubt anyone cares enough to hate the guy. Nobody likes what he's doing, but hate is a very strong emotion. I don't think I hate anybody, even though there are plenty of people I dislike.
alright, hate is a word too strong, dislike would have fitted much better.
