festival monsters - do you get festival points for other's monsters?

I just was the top killer on someone else's amethyst serpent, and I dont seem to have received any points. I'm still 300/500 in the bronze tier. :confused:

Amethyst is a Silver monster; only the Emerald is bronze. You got the points though, don't worry.. But you won't see them until you open up Silver.
