So, I was told in these forums that gifting was limited to 32 gifts per day and then it was adjusted to 26 gifts per day. Seemed lame as I try to gift my entire army (267 and counting) on as regular of a basis as I can. That would take over a week to get through. I remembered that some said it was a MS setting that prevented gifting more, which didn't make sense to me. The other app I play allows 100 gifts per hour and my friend is developing an app for myspace and said there shouldn't be anything to prevent more gifts.

So, I did a small test phase.

I just sent out 35 gifts and then sent one to my friend who was online. She checked right away and confirmed that she did receive it. So, gifting works for more then the 26-32 limit. I assume it works for much more. I am hoping to test it on a much larger scale tomorrow when I will attempt to send gifts to 101 people.

Just wanted to get the info out there to everybody.

Alright new update and more definitive.

I decided I had time to do a larger sample now while I am watching Blood Diamond.

I just sent 62 more gifts, then sent one more. The 63rd additional gift has been confirmed as received. So, today I sent 35+63= 98 gifts with no problems.

My hypothesis is that a) the gifting restrictions are set on FB differently, presumably by FB and it was just assumed it would be the same on MS. Or b) the way the gifting is sent on MS makes the difference. You are given two options: send to wall or send to inbox. I send to the wall. Perhaps if they are sent to the inbox it triggers MS anti spam flags? I know they have limits on how many inbox messages one user can send, and these would likely affect those numbers.

Not sure what the number is exactly, but I can guesstimate from past experiences.

I know for sure the following is accurate:

60 app invites per day is allowed. This can be circumvented on CA by adding the person to myspace and then sending a gift, which asks them to join your army.

300 (some say 350) friend requests per day.

300 bulletins per day.

I assume the amount of inbox messages would be similar, but like I said, if you send to the persons wall, it should work fine.

Hope all this helps others in the future.

how can I buy favor points for a friend

S/he would have to give you their MS/FB pasword then you would log and use your account on paypal or CC to purchase them. Or, you could give your friend your info. Or, the best option, if feasible, is to have your friend over(or vice versa), they log into their CA acct and then you use your CC/Paypal so no passwords are exchanged.

If you do exchange any passwords, no matter how good the friend, I suggest passwords get changed afterwards just to be safe.

NOW, ALL THIS BEING SAID, BE CAREFUL. If you are on FB version they have rules against alternate accounts and if you use the same pay pal account on a second account they may think you have an alt account. If so, they may suspend or ban one or both accounts.

On MS, there are no rules against alternate accounts, AFAIK, so it may not be an issue there, but i would double check before hand.

I am only providing this info for informational purposes and in no way am claiming or implying that I know for sure any possible ramifications. When in doubt, check with the developers of the game or their representatitves.

Here is an even easier solution where all passwords and account security remain in tact:

1) Go to Wal-Greens
2) Buy a prepail credit card.
3) Buy a cute card
4) Write a note int he card, place the prepaid credit card in it.
5) Give the card to your friend.

Note, this will mean that s/he is not obligated to actually use it on FPs.
