I was gonna post this in the Monster section, but it seemed to be only for CTA and Add Me's, so I didn't want to post in the wrong section.

OK, I responded to a request for clicks here in the forum and have been spending 100% of my stamina every since on trying to kill the Hydra.

My question is this, is it best to use a single stamina attack or a five-stamina attack?

I would like info on how it benefits both, myself as well as the goal of killing the monster.

I went in assuming that 5-time attacks would accrue better gold and better XP. But, I recently noticed I was often getting 3-6 XP for single attacks and about half the time I would get 2 or fewer on multi. It seems like the 5-stamina attack deals roughly 9-10x the damage. Haven't paid attention on the gold.

I understand it is also luck of the draw, but it seems pretty skewed. Less XP for the fiver but more damage to the Hydra.

I only have 17 stamina, so my damage done to the hydra is minimal, though I do believe every bit helps. Since the post in the forum, I have dealt over a million in damage. My goal is to obviously help kill the Hydra, so I am trying to weigh the two options to see what is most beneficial to both me and the goal of killing it.

Any thoughts?

Whats your stats and current Level, Hydra's are easy kills for high level players.

The better your attack stat, the more damage you will do per hit.

Today is day nine of me playing CA. So my stats aren't very impressive. Yet.

Level 45
263 Max Energy -- Do more quests
17 Max Stamina -- Launch attacks! (cost 2)
16 Attack -- Offensive might
26 Defense -- Defense power
101 Max Health -- Withstand attacks
46 Army Size -- Take more soldiers into battle

Also, what is the SIEGE LOG. It says I damaged the Hydra with a catapult, but I don't think I have a catapult.

The siege logs shows a record of who helped construct the siege weapon. Everyone who clicks in via that link like you did, or the link in their Stream helps with the current weapon. People will sometimes like to tel you that they "clicked" for you, and ask you to return the favor (rtf) to the monster they are working on.

You can help once per weapon. To publish the weapon to your friends, click the big green button.

While the damage from the first weapon is pretty minimal, they get progressively stronger--yet harder to complete. Siege weapons can do a lot of damage, and can make or break a monster battle.

Large stamina hits let you spend your stamina faster but the 1 stamina seems to yeild better xp. Lots of times with a 5 stamina hit I get 4, 5, or 6 xp. The 4 xp is funny because you are suppose to get 1-6 per stamina spent and 4 is 1 less then minimum. But i get that about 25% of the time.

On a Hydra, it is okay to hit for 1 stamina. If you do this on any monster with a blue bar, you will not be very popular.

Sorry for my ignorance, but can you explain why?

What I did with the Hydra was three hits at 5 stamina and four hits at one stamina to use my entire 19 stamina to defeat the monster.

Why is a one-hit detrimental to non-hydras? And, I guess I can be glad it was a hydra I went to first and even more glad that I asked about the strategy here before the next one.
