not allowing gift to be sent or recieved

I accepted a gift from some one, and for some reason it did not transfer completely, now when I try to accept the gift it is not there to accept althogh I am still being prompted to do so, and it will not allow me to send or recieve any gifts from that person... how do I resolve this issue??
