So, i'm having some trouble comprehending why buying attack is better than buying stamina- heres my thinking;

From what ive seen +5 attack is less than 100 damage added onto attacks with serpents / hydra ect

On one hand you can get oo +100 dmg
and on the other you get +another swing (14000+ dmg)

Perhaps I dont quite understand the formula, but this is what I see.. correct me if im wrong. Enlighten me please.

you are right with your idea. But this only applies if you are a monster hunter.

Yeah, since there isnt really a never-ending quest and use for money im wanting to just "Oh hey I killed hydra 10000 times" and what not. But I have seen people doing like 280k damage a hit, how's that? Possibly their level * attack or what is the formula?

Im half tempted to get 1000 attack and work on 1000 stamina, maybe a 4:1 atk ratio till I reach 1k.

More damage = more attack stat + full EG + right general + right gear

The idea is to get to certain jump points where the damage scales up. From my understanding, that's at 200/400/700? attack. By having a higher attack, it makes your stamina work more efficiently. Given what we've seen of new age monsters like Bahamut, the old days of having 1000 stamina and 3 attack are over. Such a build is hideously broken for anything but hydras and dragons since you'll do more damage to the secondary bar than to the monster's health.

280k a hit could have been done using either a high stamina attack or through the use of the Orc King.

Oh and raising attack has the nice side-effect of making you a good offensive pvper.

280k dmg a hit is orc king. that is an epic general that allows u do use 5x stam to do 5x dmg per hit.

edit: EG is elite guard.

If you can log in daily, then you will need not more than 144 Energy & Stamina (12 hours of recharge time to full) or 288 (24 hours of recharge time), You will only make advantage of higher energy/stamina limit while you level up and doing oracle refill.

And atk/def is vital in PVP world, especially ATK in Arena as you need to battle opponents of higher branket~

Well, if monster slaying is all you're interested in, the general argument is correct (up to a point anyway). I have to protest, however, that 5 skill points does not equal one 14k power attack, and it could only equal a 14k 2-3 stamina attack only if you have a large attack stat.
