Well, he showed up dead or too weak.....which should not be the case because you do not lose health when you win in the arena. So I started wondering....can someone snipe in the arena like they do on the battle page?

Well.....if he was dead on his real page I am going with #2. But, I was under the impression that the Arena health and the player's health were completely separate. Obviously that was not the case.

I get a good bit of AP's from defending....so I do not want to hide. I was just under the impression that this strategy was not available in the arena.

I think they reinserted the "one health across the board" system, but with far less health lost in the Arena, like half of what the norm is for PvP. I come across health missing from my bar, yet not a single attack on my battle page, even after waiting up to an hour to check it.

It is possible, as stated before, that he either is hiding, or may have been chained down before you reached him. Best solution is to just make due and patiently wait for the coward... ;)

Possible....but highly unlikely. I have been a legend for most of the season and this was the first time I was chained 33 times in a row....and by some coincidence the guy that did it to me was also chained 33 times immediately (within 10 minutes) after doing it to me?:confused:

Yes you are correct cause i attacked ppl 3-6times and most likely they hit dead.
So if you keep on refreshing arena page = full health in arena

how do they determine the arena health?

I know if i found a target good for AP i will put all Stamina on him/her and if high rank, bookmark for BP gains

But I wonder if it is a 1 way deal......if you lose health in the arena it does not affect your non-arena player......but if your non-arena player loses health it affects your arena version's ability to be attacked.

That is why I checked his keep....he was dead in his keep.....So it looks like he got under 10 health and it hid his arena player.

There is no health requirement to attack in the arena. This means that though someone may be dead as far the arena is concerned (unattackable within arena) there doesn't seem to be anything that stops them from still attacking in the arena. This would just be a matter for your standard health, not arena health. So it's completely possible they may have been dead the entire time.

The best way is dont logon to Arena until your stamina is full.

If that guy is lower level legend i presume he would be chained death soon. Unless you are weak in 501 or weak defense and got chained by lower level.

I can see hiding outside of the Arena pretty easily, hit someone above you enough times to lose health, log out, voila...

In the Arena, I'm not so sure, since you can be "summoned to battle at any time," and, "health is periodically restored." Maybe just a badly timed revenge hit?

ok u should use the ninja tactic then. I am a low level legend but with rank Prince, ppl farm me for battlepoint than arena points. Rarely do i need to hide in arena as i will be dead in defending my battle points.

He will most likely never touch you unless the arena list show you again. But then u already know how to hide.

For god sake half of the legend list is dead and the rest is glass cannon.

That was the basis for this whole thread. I know people can hide on the regular battle page....but the way it was described I was under the impression you could not do it in the arena. Maybe the dev's changed it again?

Thanks for your comments on the matter. I just think we must be misunderstanding each other a bit. But, I will move on and I already have the guy in my sights....so he will get a visit in the future.:D

I believe that Arena HP and 'normal' HP are related - may have always been related, IMO, just that they decreased the damaged dealt for losses in Arena, so perhaps people didn't notice the loss of health so much as before?

I was waiting for my health to get back up to 10 so that I could use 3 odd stamina that I had left over and as I was waiting/watching it dropped to 6 HP. I checked both my battle log and my Arena stats, and sure enough, I had 1 more loss in Arena and nothing showed up in my battle log. Because it was a 3HP loss, it ties in my mind with the Arena loss.

It also makes sense to me that if they are tied, then some sort of 'hiding' would be possible - maybe not 100%, but probably can be done.

frankly speaking, i don't quite understand you.
are you going after APs in the Arena?

you get chained simply because you are weak in defense in certain aspect.
he/she could have 1000 Attack and 1000 Defense.
what make you think you can defeat that person?

just because he/she is dead could mean that they pissed off someone with 2000 Attack and 2000 Defense and get chained until dead.

I think this is how it works:
In normal battle page, if you log off castle age with healt <10 than you cannot be attacked until you came back in castle age (even if your healt became >10), in Arena simply this hiding doesn't working, when the refresh arrive if your healt is >10 you can be attacked even if you're logged off castle age.

If he chained the original poster to death, it's likely he's chained other players to death. Which means he's probably on several Vengeance lists. Which means he's probably getting chained back. Which means more oftn than not, you'll find him dead.

At my level, the only people showing up in my Vengeance list are Legends 50 levels above me. Now doubt these are juicy targets to Legends 100 levels above me. So I'm not surprised to find most of them dead when I go looking for them.

What I don't understand is why so many are so quick to assume the worst of their fellow players.

I tested this on day #4 and hiding in the arena was not possible since my wins/losses went up. I don't know if they changed it since that day.

Then, in the following days, no.
But things seems to have changed 2 days ago, since I was chained at the arena (not through the regular battle pages), and my health decreased.

This is possibly the reason why there are apparently hiders in Arena now.

my impression is that they are not linked

I have done a few check outs of peeps in the arena on normal page and they have been well and alive and I beat them, so back to arena and guess what dead as a dodo.

Tried hitting randomly in the arena at legends way above me and won, so hit them a few times and they were still alive...so thought hey here are some possible BP's as well, so out I went to the live battle and guess what, dead as a dodo.

I have left myself at full health and at no health and have been hit in the arena and won and lost. When I hid...I still got hit in the arena and won, won 4 times.

So my scientific conclusion would be no link.

My complaint would be, not enough people hit me in the arena as I am getting very very few defensive wins now (5 in last 3 days) and only one loss that was not caused by me doing one of my I like that persons name/pic/etc etc and then hit them only to be a big fat loss.

I have 5 people on my vengeance list and they have been there since day one....and they are all much higher rank than me, so expect they fairly hit my low bsi through a duel

What I am seeing is that I am being sniped outside the arena, a lot. Not as many as 33 hits, but up to 20 a few times and usually by the same few people. But then I leave myself up with over 100 health so I am fair game and am in no doubt that am bookmarked somewhere. I could hide every day, but love getting the XP from when am hit and win.
