Right now I'm working on getting the ca sig generator working right. But there is a by product to this.

If I were to create a page that the ca community could use to simply select which monster and paste their entire loot drop from a monster. Would you use it?

This can help cronicle a lot of different aspects of the game. Such as damage done to get number of epic slots. Overall sample of how often a certain piece of loot drops. And a myriad of other uses.

I may do it anyway if just to catalog my own loot. But it would help provide more conclusive data if many people use it and thus enabling a large data pool for more accurate analysis.

maybe you could add a little blurb about what the items are used for, i.e. SUMMONS - ? or RECIPES - ? (what can you get for it) :)

I'll help you out and give you my info if nothing else. I can probably get my wife to do it too.

That would be a great tool to have at Midnight Sun. I think Aquinas has done something along those lines, hasn't he?

Aye he has. But his is limited to only the drops of us members as he has to manually input our statistics other than our loot. Because I am creating the sig generator as a fb ap that pulls a players level rank stats etc automatically from ca. It enables data sorting by level, damage bracketts based on stats, etc. And probably other things I'm too tired to think of right now. And would all be automated. All except obviously the loot input from the community.

And dint worry player stats would not be available to the public.

WOW that would be excellent!

I'd be up for crunching the numbers afterward...

I was thinking about doing something similar, but I'm pretty sure all the above violate FB's T&Cs about data-scraping and automation. :(

No it wouldn't because it's not using fb. This is not a downloadable program you have to visit my webpage and input your loot data voluntarily. The automated part was the sorting of that inputted data.

Since you are working on a sig it would be nice if it can illustrate all possible stats; giving the user the choice to show whatever his wants...

Stam, energy, health, attack, defense, highest dmg dealt, # of kills, # of acievements earned, rank, lvl, god points... whatever...

(i know it's too much work; i'm just suggesting stuff)

Haha thx fir the suggestions. Bur I'm making the sig for this forum so it would have to follow this forums rules for sig size. All that info simply would not fit. For example you sig is violating the rules. But I won't mention it. The mods will let you know if they ever see it. My own sig used to be bigger but made it smaller to fit the rules.

Ah, my misunderstanding.

I was thinking along the lines of a FB app that would search your army's keeps for monsters to battle, log loot, etc. but that clearly violates FB's T&Cs.

I might try and get FB's approval for some of the less server-intense options, but I won't be holding my breath.

There's still scope for searching for CTAs and other stuff that looks at FB posts directly rather than via CA, something for when I have some free time...

Pooh-
i know i would use it and im sure i could get alot of the clan, at least 80-150 (maybe many more, the clan just surpassed 1000 tagged players) of them using both the sig generator and the loot analysis. we have some people that would jump at the chance to participate.

ps-did you get my recent pm about the other sig generator?

These already exist:

Gildamesh - http://castleage.wikia.com/wiki/Gildamesh,_the_Orc_King/Loot
Colossus of Terra - http://castleage.wikia.com/wiki/Colossus_of_Terra/Loot
Sylvanas - http://castleage.wikia.com/wiki/Sylvanas,_the_Sorceress_Queen/Loot
Mephistopheles - http://castleage.wikia.com/wiki/Mephistopheles/Loot
Kiera - http://castleage.wikia.com/wiki/Keira,_the_Dread_Knight/Loot
Lotus Ravenmoore - http://castleage.wikia.com/wiki/Lotus_Ravenmoore/Loot

Dragons - http://castleage.wikia.com/wiki/Dragon/Loot
Sea Serpents - http://castleage.wikia.com/wiki/Sea_Serpent/Loot

Cronus - http://castleage.wikia.com/wiki/Cronus,_The_World_Hydra/Loot

Genesis - http://castleage.wikia.com/wiki/Genesis,_The_Earth_Elemental/Loot
Skaar - http://castleage.wikia.com/wiki/Skaar_Deathrune/Loot

The only ones the Castle Age wiki doesn't have one for is the two Raids. Or maybe they are there, and I just haven't found them? I don't know.

Anyway, just help out with those. The only rules are remembering how long it took to kill (which can be tricky to remember/calculate sometimes) and to be unbiased - don't suddenly decide to contribute because you made a good haul, try to decide before it's over.

How about displaying all that information with a Geek Code variant for CA? Or building a QRCode generator for sig images?

Because, you know, you're just not busy enough yet. ;)

Okay, the QRCode generator is probably a bit much, though it would be cool, but a CA geek code generator shouldn't be too hard.

I'd be happy to participate, can't guarantee I'd remember to get every monster in there. (I can't even remember to equip the correct general all the time.)

HECK YA!!! I do not have the time to run samples on my own, and I PvP more than monster hunt so my data would usually be a hinderance rather than a help, but given this tool, I would most certainly use it!

Would be useful for sure - especially for figuring out the darn drop equation.

I'd definitely help, I already keep all my kill info in a txt file.
