Thanx, I like your max better though. lol

But after him I can't think of anything that sums the 80s up more for me as it takes 80s culture and projects it into the future as well with many aspects of what we thought things should be like then.

Everyone who knows me knows I am all about (stuck) in the 80s.

So I will go with one from one of my favorite movies released in 1988.

To be honest, with how short I am the main character probably would have been more appropriate, heh.

I was going to use one of the actor from Real Genus, but my wife suggested him from this movie, which does fit in with the setting for the game if nothing else.

A funny thing about that movie, that has thrown some of my fellow 80s movie buffs for a loop on trivia.

Anthony Michael Hall has the lines "Chicks can't hold they smoke man". He also says the same line in The Breakfast Club. I got asked to settle an argument between two friends over that once, and got to tell them that they were both right.

Better Off Dead is correct. Surprised no one has gotten the other.

Your top movie is Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.

That's Jean Reno, and the round glasses makes me think "Leon (The Professional)" which is far too good to be considered a guilty pleasure and fzar too '90s to be considered '80s. I could be wrong though. Not familiar enough with his older work and it's been ages since I've seen Leon.

I couldn't even beat that game with cheating. Between that, the Mission: Impossible game and the first TMNT game I'm surprised I didn't trash my NES.

I was, however, intensely good at an obscure little game called Low G Man than many people viewed a being pretty difficult.

Francis Fratelli: Tell us everything! Everything!

Chunk: Everything. OK! I'll talk! In third grade, I cheated on my history exam. In fourth grade, I stole my uncle Max's toupee and I glued it on my face when I was Moses in my Hebrew School play. In fifth grade, I knocked my sister Edie down the stairs and I blamed it on the dog... When my mom sent me to the summer camp for fat kids and then they served lunch I got nuts and I pigged out and they kicked me out... But the worst thing I ever done - I mixed a pot of fake puke at home and then I went to this movie theater, hid the puke in my jacket, climbed up to the balcony and then, t-t-then, I made a noise like this: hua-hua-hua-huaaaaaaa - and then I dumped it over the side, all over the people in the audience. And then, this was horrible, all the people started getting sick and throwing up all over each other. I never felt so bad in my entire life.

Jake Fratelli: I'm beginning to like this kid, Ma!

Mama Fratelli: Hit puree!

Yeah, BT was pretty impossible...I never beat it either.

I don't remember Low G Man at all. I pulled up a screenshot of it and I drew a blank. Must have been REALLY obscure.

The only one I ever got really (as in no-life) good was Section Z (http://www.terragame.com/downloadable/arcade/section_z/screen_1.jpg), which started out a nice little side scrolled, but sped up so much by the later levels that you basically have to be heavily into methamphetamines to even figure out what what you were seeing, much less how to react to it.

Not that I was into methamphetamines, mind you, I was just good at the game for some reason. (no-life, most likely) :)

Never actually played Battletoads. I got plenty frustrated by the TMNT game, though....managed to take that to level 4 once. My greatest NES accomplishment in my single-digit years was beating Contra on one continue (with the code in place, of course.)

Argh, Battletoads. That game was ridiculously hard. Even with Game Genie I couldn't beat that. The crossover game with Double Dragon was pretty hard too.

The first TMNT game was soooooooooo bad. I don't know why I ever wanted to play that game as a kid. It wasn't even that much fun, and when you got to the water level it was just awful. At least the other two TMNT games for the NES were awesome.

I beat the water level once or twice, but couldn't get much further.

I had a hell of a time with the Mission Impossible game (released well before the movie, so it was based more on the TV series) The second you ge to the boss with the vanishing floorboards you may as well just turn the system off and save yourself the stress.
