I want 501 friends as much as anyone else, but, I don't want to see EVERY friggin accomplishment for CA that you get! Try clicking "skip" next time so you don't spam my facebook account.
If you aren't summoning a dragon and need help... I don't wanna know. Every 5 mins I get some message about how someone finished a quest or reached a certain level ... GRRRR!
I'm sure other peope feel the same.
I guess I can hide you from my facebook homepage, but, then that defeats the whole "call to arms" button when fighting a dragon.
Plz play CA spam free as much as possible...Thanks! :D:eek:

Click the HIDE button and stifle CA alerts and you won't have this problem. Yes, it really is that simple, but it does actually require you to make the colossal effort of moving the mouse and clicking the little pulldown menu for hiding updates.

But then you miss the call to arms for the dragons. You can't just turn CA off if you want to know about the dragons.

Seriously, this is a good point. It's completely broken to require your Facebook account to allow all CA posts just in order to see 1% that are dragon call to arms. It's just not worth breaking my Facebook account by un-hiding all the "CA friends" (most of whom play a lot of other games whose updates I really don't want to see), in order to see a those few posts.
There really needs to be a better in-game method for alerting your army that you have a dragon to fight.

Everyone that I added from the DSU I have in a facebook group. That way I cant see their updates unless I click that group on the homepage.

I kinda like seeing what friends around the world are doing. Besides, if I have a dragon, seeing their CA posts gives me the opportunity to know who's online so I can message them to come help slay my dragon. ;)

If that is your thing I guess ... you must not have a huge army here yet. I'm only at 125'ish and not only do I get dozens of messages about CA I get all their stupid crap from Mafia Wars, Fish Bowls, etc, etc.
I've started hiding their "other" crap so I can only see CA but then I also get their posts to friends...
There has to be a better way... one where we ONLY see the dragon requests and nothing else. perhaps make the call to arms an in-game message... one that shows up on your "home" page or your "army" page and not on your facebook homepage.
If anyone knows if this is possible respond so we can see the pros/cons and perhaps I'll post the suggestion in the suggestion forum??

I agree, but just for a practical workaround, I suggest putting all of your Castle Age friends on a list that doesn't update your feed (to prevent the spam), and then starting a message thread with a group of players that you actually do communicate with to team up and fight dragons.
The legends group is doing this, and it seems to be working well so far.

Then you just make the couple EXTRA clicks to go to a person's facebook page and see if they've made a posting about having a dragon. It's really not that big a deal unless you've got eight thousand friends.

Which unfortunately some people do have, or at least a thousand or two.
An easier way to find dragons would be nice, but it's not like there aren't tons of ways to get a live one now. There are a few groups for dragon spawning/hunting as well as the Add Me section has people daily that spawned dragons you could add to attack. Those, as well as the suggestions from Ragnar, means finding a live dragon isn't that hard. Finding one that is beatable is a tad tougher, but not impossible.

do you know how to set up such a list cuz these updates are driving me insane.
Also, I realize this isn't in the suggestion forum, but, can the mods create a dragon forum for such postings? It seems people are posting dragon stuff in all the forums right now disguised as questions, etc.
edit: nvm I figured it out. however, still a MAJOR pain in the ass! first you have ot move everyone to a separate list THEN you have to alter your news feed so that only true friends show in news feed. Hiding the CA ppl might do the same trick, but, then again you miss out on call to arms requests.
I think I'll just delete them all and join a dragon hunting group here which would solve both my problems ;)

I switched everyone to a separate group, but, I continue to see updates unless I modify my newsfeed. I already clicked on over 170 ppl to move them to a list now I have to click AGAIN on my newsfeed so they don't show? It's almost easier to just hide them.
If you know the secret to having them populate a separate homepage plz pass it on so i can just toggle between them when I wanna look for a dragon. Otherwise I just keep hiding ppl and their stupid requests to join every Effin game on facebook!

I eventually had to make lists and start ignoring the main live feed. Currently, I have every friend in face book divided into four lists:
Family
Friends
Castle Age
Super Hero City
There is SOME cross pollination between games, of course. (I've also moved some of my Castle Age and SHC friends to the actual "Friends" sub-list as I've gotten to know them.)
But as soon as I get on FB, i immediately go down the lists, changing the Live Feed.
Also, as far as on-line "Chat" goes, you can hide lists from coming up. So all I get there is friends and family who are on line, and not the 300 other people that might be.

I made a new list called Real friends, and added all my original friends in that list.
you can also place the castle age app under the lists, and only castle age notices will be shown there. you can do it under first page u hit when you login, under the tabs on the left hand side that says : news feed, status updates, links, videos, notes etc etc. click "more" and toy ard. Its pretty easy to fix it.... just need a lil common sense =p
this way, you will
1) get to read ur friend's news unaffected
2) skip out every1 else's new feed
3) contract castle age notices to a comfy n sensible summary
takes a bit of work, but its worthed it.
