If you are going anywhere near any part of the Pacific Ocean today or tomorrow, check out your local tsunami warnings before getting near the water. Experts have even included Antarctica in this warning.

A good starting point for finding more information is here:

Be safe, everybody.

Did you feel the quake? Was anythign in your neighborhood destroyed. Am hoping you and yours are safe and hope the same for all others there.

The most dangerous thing as far as weather we have here in Texas is the occasional tornado, getting hit by lightening or on the few miracle snow/ice days, getting hit by stupid drivers who should not be out in the ice and snow. We get some pretty big hail too.

Earthquakes may soon plague us as well. Our town is built along a fault and there have has been quake activity in Cleburne Texas recently. Mother Eaarth is groaning and rolling over a lot these days.

Obviously you have electricity and internet, is your water safe3 and is it safe to remain there? If not do you have an evacuation plan?

Actually not. Santiago city is far from the sea, surrounded by mountains.
The epicenter was in the south of my country, around 400 miles far of my city.
In the south, many waves destroyed several cities.
