Can't join in dragon fight

Keep getting message; "You cannot join an epic battle with someone outside your army. To join in the adventure, try to summon an epic monster! ", when I try to join in fight against dragon from a member of my army. They are listed as an army member & they are also a facebook friend. Any ideas? :mad:

They clicked the call to arms button from a friend's dragon. You're not friends and army members with that friend of theirs and therefore can't join the fight.
