I'm not sure if what place you are affects anything but, its possible that they Devs just set up damage quotas.

and theres a damage quota you must reach to get one of the epics. Or first place, I dunno

I got some willow wisps, fire elemental, 3 demi points and something else of little note from someone else's frost dragon that I only attacked once. So high damage gets you more rewards but EVERYONE gets a prize.

no mine is a red one, that was a friend's. The first guy was not the one who summoned it either i think LOL it was actually an adrenaline rush..was near leveling and unleashed all my stamina + the level up stamina on him and near the latest strikes, another girl started hitting him too. Would burn her to ashes if she got my kill :D:p:D

Fyi one of the posts is misleading, I assume he got the lionheart blade from the demi point bonus that bumped him over to the requirement. Its not an actual drop.

And to answer some questions, moonfall crown is about 6 down from my current Aurora line, ANNNNNND I already had Avenger amulet :( :(

Therefore the demi rewards are random. I did not get the alchemy piece like Lena while being top damager and the one to deliver final blow. So the alchemy piece seems randomized :(

They do come from the drag drop. Have a look at the stat page of "Queen Lena" ;) she has Dragon Scale.

An interesting side note here is that, the rewards make it possible to have more then one of items where you prier could only have one.

Like "Holy Shield" I now have 3 and they are being used in battle.
I have not finished the Aurora demi path, so I could end up with 2 Moonfall Mace.

That's not very helpful at all, if it dosen't die you don't get anything!

Need to figure out how the dragon item is obtained. I find it hard to believe that it only drops randomly too. For all the work, SOMEONE should get it 100% of the time when a dragon eats it.

Possible ways to obtain the dragon alchemy item:
1) Person who summoned it
2) Person who did the most damage
3) Person who landed the final blow

Seems the only drop so far was picked up by Lena which was the Dragon Scale (Attack 4/Defense 9). Lena - which of the 3 above was your situation? I hope those alchemy items won't disappear when you make the helmet. If these are random drops and not 100%, making that recipe will be very difficult!!

I have put in over 300k on a single dragon plus 10-20k on about 4 others.

I land 1 attack on dragons that don't look like they have a shot. I have gotten lucky twice.

I inflected the most damage; 197,396, so I suspect the payout for the other players to be less than what I earned. I'm not sure yet.

I noticed that people that weren't in the list of 50 were assisting players that were in the list (don't know how that happened. It happened more than once.)

I picked up a lot of demi-points along the way. (I didn't keep a count before the fight nor bothered to count each demi earned along the way, except for Azeron. I earned 21 Azeron demi's in total )

Also, I noticed that rank didn't determine the player's damage rate per hit. A level 54 player average was in the low 400's, while i was averaging in the mid 350's. But the level 54 player did have a sword of redemption. (i don't, yet!). So a players weapons etc, might be a factor.

Most of what I received is not usable. I was 4th in the list and I summoned the Dragon. Here is what I got:

I am level 92 and was able to summon an Ancient Red Dragon. I thought that the rewards would be more geared to a higher level. My lowest soldier in my army is Phoenix. So the soldiers I received today are unusable.

I think it was a great idea, and it was a lot of fun...until the end. The use of stamina was not worth it in the end. I should have been using it in battle. They say the rewards are greater the earlier that you kill it...but we killed it early, and this isn't very good.

I appreciate the concept that they came up with. It is really terrific! I thank them for working so hard in giving everyone something that interests them. But, it's just not what I expected in terms of what you receive unless you are at a low level.

Please don't flame me for my comments, I'm not trying to make a big deal out of this. I just want to post for the developers to see that maybe it should be taken a little further for different levels of players.

I won't be fighting Dragons anymore for me, but I will summon the Ancient Red's for my lower level army levels. They are very pleased with what they have received. :) And I'm glad it is working out for them. :)

I guess for higher levels it's an interesting diversion, but not worth putting a lot of time and stamina in for what is received....

Just recieved my rewards for being 2nd highest in damage dealt, items were ok, nothing amazing and definitely no dragon scale. Someone came in at the end, hit the dragon twice and got the kill. I hope like h#ll they didn't get the drop.

Well, it would be kind of cheap to automatically give the person who delivered the killing blow the ultra special item. In the case of the frosty we downed earlier, the top ten didn't deliver the killing blow, it was someone that contributed less than 1k points of damage. Also, I think only the top four should have the drop chance for the ultra special item. It's also frustrating that someone who only contributes 300 damage to a dragon gets a drop that is far out of proportion to their contribution. Number fifty should get one random demi point and the reward should increase exponentially from that to the maximum reward determined by the game designers.

Perhaps the summoner always gets dragon scale and your wife struck the killing blow? (Getting it for herself as well). You could easily refute this of course if she wasn't even attacking at the dragon's demise.

Indeed, it does appear your summoning the dragon didn't give you much extra over a regular contributor. Doesn't it also "burn" a dragonbane sword and dragon charm in the process? It may be better to just jump on other people's dragons instead of summoning your own.

I'm wondering how far down the list the rewards go? Or if it's based upon total damage done?

Ok, this is interesting. I was recently involved in the death of a frost dragon.

I did 1,136 damage and was 36th down on the list.

It appears you don't need to be a major contributor to get some goodies.

I was first on the list in my battle 198,000 second was 100,000. I didn't receive a Dragon Scale. (work that one out considering i summoned the dragon)

That sucks. Appears the scales are a random drop. The only dragon death I've been involved with did give the scale to the summoner (also 1st in damage) though she didn't deal the killing blow.

I have done over 200k to my ancient red dragon. 13 ppl have helped. Looks like about 1/3 of the HP is gone so far. I have 30 more hrs to kill it.
IMHO, the devs should allow you to build up. Say start with the blue dragon, then after you are abel to kill that one you move up to the next one more difficult. My first spawn is an ancient red dragon and I had no idea what I was doing. I just tried combining the items. Now I am scrambling to get ppl to help.

Probably not as you didn't defeat the dragon, who why get rewarded for failing? As for if anything bad happens to you, we'll know when the first dragon attempt fails.

I sort of think 1 of the helm piece items is dropped per dragon and the % to get it is based on total dmg. If you do the most dmg you have the better chance to get the drop. I was the top killer on 3 dragons and I have gotten 1 piece.

I did 1,136 damage and was 36th down on the list.

Remember the closer to the end of the timer expiring that the dragon is killed, the worse the rewards are. So I'm not suprised those that are just now defeating dragons that were spawn 2-3 days ago aren't getting as good rewards as those that killed dragons in the first day.

If it makes you feel better, I'm in the exact same position. Top of the damage list for a frost dragon, but got a blank white screen when I clicked 'collect.' I left the white screen alone for a good five+ minutes before hitting refresh, but the game never came back, and the collect button is now gone. :( But, I still had fun beating the crap out of the thing, and have no plans to leave the game as a result of a server time-out. I hope they get it fixed, however. New junk in my keep would have been fun!

So I am currently Battling a Red Dragon and I have 15 hour left. I will not be able to defeat this dragon. I have called my army mulitple times, but handly anyone responds. What will be the penalty for not killing a Dragon?
What ever the outcome I think they have made the Dragon a bit hard to damage let alone kill by a single person. I have been fighting this red dragon since Thursday and I have not had any rewards drop except Demi points on occasion. And I believe I got 1 favor point. Don't you think this Dragon should be a bit more rewarding?
I also have a suggestion for the Delvs. When attacking the Dragon you should make it easier to multi attack such as when you do a quest. I have to scroll down to the attack dragon button after every attack. If you can't move the button higher atleast put it on top of the call to arms button? I am leaving myself open to being attacked on the battle page so the faster I can use up my health to benefit me would be much apreciated.

I just killed a Frost Dragon - and the rewards were mostly in line with what people are talking about apart from......

I summoned the Dragon, was the top of thq damage list and was 25% ahead of the next person. There was a guy 5th in the damage list who received the best rewards of anyone - better than me by far. He had inflicted abouyt half the damage I had.

So at the moment the whole things seems like a colossal watse of 3 days!

I got nothing... I had thirty people on a frost dragon and we only whittled it down to 1/4 health. Ridiculous amount of health. I spent a couple hundred stamina points for no cigar. Are my thirty helpers going to be expending their hard earned stamina on another dragon? I think not. I dare not waste my time with another. Over half of my troops got more than 50,000 damage done. How much more should they contribute? Kind of ridiculous amount of health.

I know what you mean, a team of 42 and myself spent 2 days whittling away at a Gold Dragon, insane amounts of Stamina points used, enuff hits to raise me personally up 2 whole levels, from 61 to 63, and at the end when most of us hit the Collect Rewards button, we got the White Screen of Death and lost all the rewards. Those that did get Rewards reported that they were surprised at how paltry they were, when compared to the time and effort put in.

I saw the announcement about lowering the Dragons' Hit Points - it doesn't do that much good if the rewards are lost because Facebook is unstable, though.
