Now with the dragons we don't need to PVP to get gold/experience. For those who are high generals like myself, what do you think? Will you still try to get the 50/day demi points by feeding on the weak players or does the random 1-2 points you get from the dragon (no limit?) sound better? I personally love that I can play without feeling like I'm ruining someone else's day just because I want to convert my stamina to exp. An occational fight so that I can buy archangels and I don't see me visiting the battle page much anymore.

As a Lt Gen I'm finding good targets hard to find. Anything under a Commander is useless to me. Dragons are fun. I just think we should not create too many all at once. They seem hard to kill. If your small just battle other's dragons. The rewards appear to be the same for all so no point in trying to defeat one all by ones-self. You won't be able to do it.

Not True, Not True with all due respect, I've defeated a Frost Dragon without sounding the Call To Arms and I'm just a lvl 33 with a rank of Lieutenant Commander. I believe the higher in rank you are the more powerful the Dragon you have to slay, this is unconfirmed, but early analysis does indicate it to be so. So maybe I was fighting a lesser dragon which made it possible for me to slay her.

Monster Battle FAQs

"The monster you get is based on the level of the person who summons the monster. The higher the level of the summoner, the tougher the monster will be to defeat."

You need WAY more stamina now than you used too.. in my opinion the timers should be adjusted some to let you get your health and stamina all quicker now if they really want to make it fun eliminate some of the waiting time so we can actually play more if we want too

I won't comment, in this thread, on what I think they do or don't need to do to further balance the game out - there are many other threads for those discussions. The title suggests that it's for a congrats to the Devs on a job well done, and I agree. SUPER JOB Devs!!! Really liking the face lifts on the artwork that are in so far. Also loving the addition of monsters (dragons) to the battlefield. Keep up the good work guys.

I like the dragon addition. It gives us questers something to do with our stamina. Doubt I can beat one on my own with only 3 stamina, but I can help out those that already summoned a dragon and get experience points while doing it. Ya!

Yup I agree...I loved this game already and now with the new additions to it I love playing it even more. Im on the forums right now so my stamina can build up and I can go back to fighting a dragon:)

Definitely nice but shouldnt it add to your battle count? But regardless good development in the game keep it up, it was addictive before now.... well lol enough said... hmm i wonder if i got any stamina built back up yet haha

I like the addition of the dragons. I battled my first today to help out a friend - an Ancient Red - I did 12,000 damage to the thing and barely hurt it, while 2 other friends did another combined 20,000 damage and still the thing is barely hurt - but Fun!!!

One thing I do not like about battling dragons is that you still show up on the Battle list. So while I am battling a dragon, I am getting hit in PVP and losing health and Battle Points.

I think that a good addition to the game would be that if you are engaged in battling a dragon, you shouldn't show up on the battle lists, but I don't know how they would work that in beings that you are on the list when you log into the game.

Unfortunately, I will not be battling dragons very often. It's counter productive for those of us still trying to gain Battle Rank (Commander, lvl 104) - you get XP and demi points by battling a dragon, but you lose Battle Points getting hit by other players and if you are killed, lose a little xp.

lol my bad bro, i love the battling dragons instead of players but i do think it should add to your battle rank as well. I laugh because you say your trying to gain battle rank still at level 104 commander, im only level 82 lt commander and proud of that and at my current rank level or whatever sets it, i did grab an ancient red to battle lol. Sorry bro dont mean to seem like im bashing ya, im not i still want to higher battle rank too but i think that battle rank should go up with battling dragons and the monsters tab should be added to the "battle" page after all we are battling and this time trully as a team and not just a duel. i feel bad for all those i accidently kill trying to raise my demi points (well some i feel bad for lol, some well i owed them one or 2 hehe)

Anyways as a SOLID SUGGESTION DEVS add to battle page and include increase to battle rank system based on dragon type maybe

No problem - I was already 70+ when Battle Rank started and running the gauntlet so it's been a little tougher for me to gain BP. Had I been under 70 when they started that, I'm sure I'd be higher rank (I am right at the point of hitting High Commander, btw). I don't get to play often either.

I agree that it should add to the BP - or have you taken off of the battle list - one or the other. It's difficult to try to do both.

Doesn't matter anyway at the moment, because I can't even get into the game, it's been down for while for me.

I agree that it should add to the BP - or have you taken off of the battle list - one or the other. It's difficult to try to do both.

Therein lies the challenge. You need to prioritize what you want, slay a dragon for the spoils or battle other players. By adding dragons the developers set it up so that people may have a little breathing room in terms of attacking and not be wiped out health-wise while looking for targets.

The funny part here being I fought dragons with 3 stamina for a good couple of weeks before I added a couple dozen to that stat. Still, it was ages before I got over 100 stamina.

Even funnier is my comment about being a quester. Yup, I started out as a pure quester. Was potentially one of the very first people to get to 120 Energy.

Makes me feel less bad about the mythical PoA and Soul Crusher. Took about 7-8 straight Holy Smites before I even saw proof that Red Plains would even hand out a virtue of -ANY- kind, much less get more than an Orc. :p

It took me something like 25 Red Plains to get a single virtue of fortitude... Yet I got the alchemy piece to make soul crusher with only 7,000 kills (couldn't use it until much later, since I was missing a DTG, of course)

I feel rather lucky. :) I got Keira after fighting her 8 times, Vincent after fighting him abt 10 times. Azriel dropped her summoner loot first time for me, as did Alpha Meph, got Transcendence after fighting Azzy 6-7 times. I got The Reckoning on my first corvi fought, Divine blast on my 5th, stopped after that. I got the PoA after fighting approx. 5-8 WotRP, with 28k soldiers killed, way back in February this year. :D

Still don't have either the DTG or the Soulstone though, and Alpha Meph refuses to drop the Hellstone so I can get Soulforge.

Nice necro :)

I remember my first dragon very well. It fled (because everybody was summoning them, so there were too many). I was really worried that there'd be some kind of penalty for it fleeing *lol* I only had around 15 stamina or so at the time, too.

I've definitely lost track of all the loots of new monsters. Way too many and I'm not even trying to touch them with my non-existant divine powers.

I remember that. People were freaking out thinking of the dragon wasn't defeated they would take half your gold, burn half your lands and steal experience. Of course when they just fled without so much as a parting shot there was a giant, collective "Um...what?".

...in my case it's a guild Azriel. Going well enough but quite a bit of time to go, rules me out.

Also if I do my math correctly, you can only accommodate maybe 12 rounds of 25 1/2 M at best. That comes out at 306M, so you'll need to 'fail' a couple of cripples and not overhit too badly as well. Possibly chain anyone who causes you to get clicks. :p

yes... in my group, when we do slow kill, there's a strict NO CRIPPLE rule.

And we take into count some people won't get the damage in time.

Wow!
I started reading and was thinking WTF? I started playing when they brought out the dragons and then hydras. I played SoM and everyone from there started sending out those beautiful CTA's. It was the art work that got me to play CA, lol.

Though, in truth, I just quested and barely at that as I couldnt figure out the game. The first thing i did was add 30 sps to health as i was getting killed all the time and didnt know why, lol. Then I remember creating an account and coming in here to complain about not knowing how to play. Someone said "yeah, its hard to figure out in the beginning" or something like that.

Then i read a few of the threads, saw all the smack talk, thought it was real... and ran screaming back to the game in fear and never came in here again, lol.

I never could remember the name and password of that old forum account, lol.

Nice necro, lol..

That would be cool. Make losing more painful. Of course, you don't want to penalize anyone who joined at the last minute. Maybe penalize those who both spent a small amount of stamina and who didn't join in the last half of the battle. Monster has chance to destroy one land, or item. Might eliminate the complaints of tagging.

Do the same for pvp. Every battle you lose, x% chance of ...
