Notices don't show up

My wife can't see them and I have enabled every setting possible.

Was wondering why I received no response for anything...

I am having similar problems - managing to call on some monster fights - but not many - I think there is a bug with the new notices upgrade - which is trying to avoid the facebook notices - and do them direct. I clicked accept = but thinghint happened - and now I cannot seem to call to arms most of the time - tried three browers - same probme in each - also rebooted so I am sure its a CA problem.

I have other residual issues... but I'm guessing its a CA-FB thing. very strange, must have something to do with the privacy changes..

People also reported not having their home feed page at all.... so probably FB's fault.

This problem appears to have started when Castle Age began the new type of notifications. If I look at my wall, I see all my notices. No one else can see them when they look at my wall, nor do they show up on the Home page. It is almost impossible to get help with my monsters. Thank heavens I didn't call up a Cronus. Please address this as soon as possible. All my settings are correct.

Going on with me. I currently have all of my "CA-Friends" tossed into their own list, with limited viewing permissions on my profile, however Castle age is set to post to everyone, so it shouldn't effect anything.

I had the same problem and after much debugging and experimentation, i found out that my CA List is somehow corrupted.

Dont ask me how long i took to find it out but it is working now.

If you have a List created for CA friends, take one friend out of that list and post your notice. Then IM him to check if he can see your post. If so, you have the same issue as me. Just delete the List, create a new one and viola.. its working again!

wmeng72 - Thanks for that tip! I haven't tried it yet but it sounds plausible. My "real" friends can see my calls but none of me "game" friends seem to be able to. I'll give it a try later and report back.

Mine would be somewhat the opposite.

I created a friend's list that is around 100 and shield them from all my game apps.

Everyone else is a game app friend as I have way lesser real friends as opposed to the 2k or 3k of game app friends.

If the list is corrupt, I have no idea how to fix a list that is not grouped, lest I create a new list and add them to that list.

This isn't working for me. I've now removed all lists. All of my friends have exactly the same privacy settings, which is that everyone can see everything (not cool). I've checked that CA settings are correct. But still, those people that were originally on my "game friends" list can't see CA notices while those on all of my other lists can. How can that possibly be?

And a word of advice....

Do not delete a list that is used to set any privacy settings. When you delete a list without first removing all privacy restrictions every person that was on that list is now listed individually in the "hide this from" list (for each separate privacy setting) and the only way to remove them is to delete each one from the list manually. This is taking me hours to fix on FB. Ridiculous.

Scroll down and click Edit Options

Make sure Castle Age is not blocked!

Tried making a new castle age group, didn't work, tried looking to see if castle age was blocked on my news feed, it wasn't, even sent a bug report to the CA developers....no response so far. Devs, any ideas how to fix this? I've already wasted one serpent due to this mess.

Tried "Blocking" the application, and then removing it from the "block" list...this prompts you to allow CA Access to your profile and such when you open it up (Like it would if you were opening it up for the first time).

Still no go :(. It's definently not a permissions thing, It's pretty much been given free reign to do whatever the heck it wants. When I view my profile as me, I see the posts, but when I view the profile as "Just friends", you don't see any CA stuff.

Hope we get some info soon :(

Ok, time to post some specific details.

The problem so far:

-All posts from castle age, such as call to arms, elite guard requests, etc, are not being seen by friends. I can post these messages no problem, and I can see them on my wall and in my feed, but for all intents and purposes they seem to be invisible to everyone else.

-The evidence of this is a total lack of replies to any and all requests posted on the castle age news feed. This has been going on for a little over a week now, at least for me.

-It seems as though the problem has to do with Facebook itself, not with the castle age app. Furthermore, it seems to be a problem with having lists of specific friends for games and apps. Last week, I posted a sea serpent fight, and only 2 people saw my calls for help and pitched in. As it turns out, when I went to check, these were both people I had mistakenly NOT put on my list of separate friends for games, but were unclassified.

-People have suggested that this may be an issue with privacy settings. This is false. I have tried every possible configuration of privacy settings, none of which should bar my castle age friends from seeing my posts, and nothing has worked.

If anyone's reading this, I hope it's helpful. :D

I have extra evidence. I have 3 people here at home playing Facebook-apps. They're not able to see my posts since last Tuesday morning.

I've tried every privacy setting and also deleted my lists. Still they're not able to see my Facebook-apps posts.

They however can see the messages and links I post in the 'what's on your mind' field.

We have 3 accounts in our house with this problem for the past few weeks. Yesterday one of the accounts started posting. Once it was posting I even changed the settings to send only to the group of CA friends and it is still working fine. The other two accounts no such luck.
A work around for the problem has been to copy the link from the popup call to arms (or whatever) then open a new facebook window and paste the link in and send it that way. It doesn't show the CA graphic or explination but my friends can at least link to my battles.

This is far more widespread than CA. I assume it has to do with lists getting corrupted during the shift that FB made recently in security settings.

I used to have several lists - individual ones for different games I play and a few groups of friends. I play CA as well as Mafia and Vampire Wars and a couple of collecting games. One large one was "friends of interest," some folks in it play games, others do not.

The only folks that can see any of my posts that aren't status updates are in my "friends of interest" list. I recently got rid of all my lists, set permissions for all apps to everyone, but the "friends of interest" groups still seems to persist.

I've tried 3 different browsers, cleared my cache, disabled and re-enabled cookies and rebooted my computer, but most friends that play games still cannot see any notices from any games that I play, even if they go to my wall. Only the no longer in existence list can see my posts.

Focusing on getting the CA support to fix the problem isn't going to help most of us, we need to get FB involved. It's been nearly two weeks, I've lost two hydras and can't summon anything with all the lovely gifts I've received recently and have had very few Elite Guard.

For several days, I received error messages when trying to report the problem to FB's 3rd party app help section which suggests they were overloaded with folks with the same problem. I finally got a bug report in yesterday, but was told they had such a high volume that they couldn't respond personally.

i've narrowed it down to being a FB list/Privacy issue. I'm sure of it because i have access to my gf account and I played around with changing the list settings and taking her on and off my castle age list (she is however on an unrestricted list normally).

I'm sure we'll all have to wait for FB to fix the problem or lighten up your privacy heavily to be able to have everyone respond to you call to arms, assist requests, etc.

I have no privacy. Granted, I only use my account for gaming, but I have no lists and everything set for visibility to everyone and it still doesn't work. Apparently, mine seems due to a file that was corrupted when I had lists, but getting rid of them didn't fix it.

I recommend all of us that are affected by this problem submit daily bug reports to the Third Party Application support section of FB's help page. I've read these reports over and over for various games I play run by various developers and it seems most affected are just talking to the particular game's developers. But, in my experience, it is clearly a FB problem and they need to admit it and quit passing the buck.

Now go down to the bottom middle right and see the words..EDIT OPTIONS..click on that and open the window..you will see Friends, Pages, Applications..open Friends and make sure that you have not hid anyone that you want to show up on yoru news feed...now go to Applications and do the same..bet some of your missing games are checked here..uncheck everything you want to show..and then leave the rest hidden..also I increased my update feed you might want to do so also..that one is up to you. This so ended all of my frustrations and now I am able to see people and all the CTA's and Elite Army calls.....hope this helps you also. This problem seems to keep getting misunderstood.

I, the OP and many of those writing on this thread see our friend's posts just fine. It is that friends don't see ours. They can look on their feeds (live, news it doesn't matter) or directly on our wall and they aren't there. They see others posts for those games and a few of our friends see our posts.

The games aren't hidden, we have enough friends listed to see and we have privacy set so they are available to the friends that can't seem to see them.

1. Go to your monster page where it says to add it to facebook feed. Then click on it
2. If it is blank (as mine was) there is an 'edit options' just in the middle to the right click on it
3. a small window comes up with a list for you to choose from. You should see Castle Age there. Choose it and hey presto! they're all there.

Auds, I'm glad this fixed your probem. I'm guessing you you wern't seeing other peoples posts. Many of us can't get our CA friends to see our posts, and unfortunately I don't think this fixes our issue but I'm glad it helped you . If I'm wrong please someone correct me.

2. If it is blank (as mine was) there is an 'edit options' just in the middle to the right click on it
3. a small window comes up with a list for you to choose from. You should see Castle Age there. Choose it and hey presto! they're all there.

I'm not seeing where this "Add it to facebook feed" is in either the general Monster screen, or any individual one. There are no additional options on the CTAs either to manipulate anything other then the personal message.

I am as well in group of players, who cannot send their own "CallToArms", "ElliteGuards",... - I do not block CA, it is set to allowed to post on my wall,... etc.

But when I click on EliteGuard, message telling me "your friend will see message" appears, but friends don't see it.
When I click "CallToArms" on castle wars, I get "Calling for Help in progress...Please wait for dialog box. Comment on your Call to Arms notifications to make sure your notification will show up on top of your friends' lists!", but nothing happens.

It is since CA introduced feedy-thing, that I cannot send any messages on my wall from it. It's long time and plenty of monsters have survived "thanks" to this "feature".

since nakorius tried following the suggestion again and got it to work I thought I'd do the same and... my elite gards call showed up on my 2 sons FB pages for the firt time in weeks!

I haven't tried to post anything CA in a few days so I don't know if it was resetting my settings or FB fixing the problem, but it now works for me.

It's meant only to lower your frustration by sharing it with others, but you'll be ignored as anybody else. It doesn't matter if youre paying/free player. Also there's no "answer my question for 10 FP" option, guess why :)

I had this issue as well (my post is somewhere on this page, I returned here to reply to it, but cannot find it) until I noticed, that my n900 phone doesn't have this issue. After some time, I discovered that "refcontrol" extension could by issue - and when completly disabled, I can post CtA.

Apparently SOME others can see it, while others cannot. I even set up, in FB, a friends list which is just CA players, so I can toggle to it, and all I see there is their feed from other games, but nothing from CA. It would be really nice if CA staff would address this problem. I have checked all my FB settings, and have permitted CA to post, notify, etc. I don't get CTA in notifications either. Really hard to assist under these circumstances. CAN WE GET SOME TECH SUPPORT ON THIS PLEASE ?????
