non friend attacking sea serpent

so i was bored and decided to summon the emerald sea serpent and solo it, when i logged in just now i noticed it was at a lower hp then when i left. i have another attacker and i know that i didn't publish the feed saying that i had summoned the monster and when i checked the player i'm not even friends with the person. so i'm wondering how they could attack my monster when i didn't even publish a call to arms.

Some people troll the battle list spying on keeps. Or he may even have you bookmarked from previous encounters.

Chain him mercilessly.
