Well I finally collected enough points to get three Vanguard Chests and got three commons worth nothing to me. Will never waste the money to buy favor points as this is the pay out I will expect. thanks, CA:mad::mad::mad::mad:

@hcir: Its why they call it a gamble.

I take it you dont buy lotteri tickets?

Hcir... it's a gamble. You may lose just as much (if not more) than you win. It's clearly stated what your odds are.

Yeah the lottery odds are about 100 million to one even with three chances, not 90% chance of getting something better than common with three. Have seen too many posts like this to think yeah it is random.

Really guys, you think that you do one purchase and thats it?, Statistically your odds improve with each purchase, also look at the probabilty percentage . i am buying alpha chests, and always the first set is crappy, but i get better with each subsequent purchase in fact i bought 3 chests in one round and got 60FP after spending 55, and then ended with Sylvana, Mephist and Colosus in one round.

nobody can force you to buy them, but its just probability

That's not necessasrily true. You're allowed to get duplicates of lots of the chest items.

You just managed to get one lucky experience with that. There have been many people who have already posted how they've bought way more chests than you have and have gotten nothing but commons and duplicates of commons.

Why do people post without reading? The dude is saying he didnt buy them. He did not hit accept but it chaged him anyways Read before posting comments that have nothing to do with posts.

Back on topic as the OP/Thread Starter isn't talking about the probablity or winning or the benefits/drawbacks to gambling in this thread: It's been a while since I've done a chest (did a Vanguard 3 pack about a month ago) and don't remember if it was one click or two to buy the chest. Can anyone confirm if it's one click to buy or is there a second place to click, ie, you click that you want one chest and then get a confirmation pop up?

Honestly I don't remember a confirmation pop up right now. I think it's a one and done deal and when you click the link to check it out you where agreeing to spend the favor points. Let me check something...

To check what they have all you have to do is this:

click the Oracle tab>Click the type of Chest you want>Scroll down to see what's in each type of chest as well as the percentages of getting each tier.

No need to click on the buy link to check unless the homepage...

Okay, THIS may be the problem: the links from the homepage! While I've never clicked it I have a funny feeling if you do it's an auto buy rather than linking to the appropriate page! If this is what the OP/TS was talking about I see his beef, especially if he was a new player. The link there should be changed to a link to the appropriate page under the Oracle tab rather than an auto buy link, as when you click the monster tab you don't just summon dragon/hydra/sea serpent/ect, when you click the demi power link you don't randomly ask a demi for a blessing, ect, ect, ect. That link I believe is the only link on the home page that automatically assumes you want to do something more than navigate to a specific page...

There is no problem as far as I can see, newbie or not. It clearly states 'Accept' on the homepage display of the Vanguard and Alpha chest options. To quote "1 x for 30 Favour Points! Accept" (The button is quite clear and in blue for Vanguard and browny/red for Alpha).

I don't see how making a link to another page which then asks the same thing (confirmation) would help.

With the regular facebook hiccups and when playing on a laptop with touch pad, accidents can happen, I'm always weary going to the homepage and try not to move the mouse over these buttons. Accidents can happen. It would be nice to get a confirmation box to pop up and ask again you want to purchase this item? yes/No
I can't imagine this would be too difficult to implement?
My two cents...

Right, it does; however, as I already said EVERY other link you normally click on the homepage just takes you to another page. I already gave the example of clicking the monster box on the home page, which leads you to the monster tab under your keep, rather than having it summon a monster.

While the tabs may say accept it is reasonable to assume that since EVERY other link on the homepage leads you to another page where you decide what to do that this one would too. I DO see your point, that it says accept, but since everything else is a link those should be too no matter how well they are marked someone is going to make this mistake and be displeased with the results, as this thread starter is.
