Hi guys, it happens to me today. this guy just hit 10 times and then he just hide. So I was curious to see who he was. For my surprise, he was a Baron Rank. I didnt even have a chance to retaliate. This guy has no honor and what a shame!!!. HIDE FROM A COMANDER!!! you go hide A$$h.
This is his link. If you want to know more.

He probably ended up below 10 health while attacking you. Just save that address and hit him later. Revenge is a dish best served cold.

He should be put to the wall of shame.

Yeah, a level 149 Baron is probably getting his butt whumped pretty quickly. He may not be hiding, he may just have a full battle feed.
You need to remove the link in your post, that's a Forum no-no.

Instead of fighting people at his rank, he just look for small fish. So dont be a Baron if you know you cant defend yourself.

I don't like hiding but i hate it when people hide from me. My health is always full :D Revenge is never too late.
Yea, that guy got me too. I just made a friend request and added him to my army.....
Some guy who chained me thismorning (and lost EVERY attack) just called me a ***** because I have been hitting him back.... I wonder if he knows that I hold a grudge (and his CA URL)?
#1 - Not good form to post his link on forums, unless you post yours too?
#2 - At his level, HE is a juicy target, probably dies quick
#3 - If he was really hiding, well its part of the game ^^;

it's hard to jack up those bp numbers once you break into the nobility tier. hiding is just a way to keep them.
as my main man pepper jack once said, "Don't hate the player, hate the game."

Did you retaliate within a few seconds of him hitting you? If not then someone could have got to him first. If he had just used 100 stamina on chain attacks then any one of 20 players may have got to him before you, let alone people who spotted him on a battle page or people who have bookmarked him.
Before you accuse a player of hiding ( within the rules so who honestly cares ), take a note of his number of wins, quests, losses etc. Then if you are that obsessed about him note how they change from day to day.
Someone who hides will have very few losses and pretty much zero times killed. If he is always below health and his wins are going up but losses remain the same then yes... he hides.
Then maybe after a week post your evidence here ( without his name and link as to be honest, that is out of order ) and we can all pass judgement and all have a good rant too.

I admit, I occasionally hit lower battle ranks when nothing juicy comes up on the battle page and I need to get in my 10 demi points.
But never 10 times in a row ... . :(

Most who know me will tell you I do not like the hiders much myself. But I wanted to make a couple points.
First and foremost. Who here does NOT attack people lower level/rank than they are? Obviously you don't attack lower RANK as much because of the battle points need to be worth the stamina. But NONE of us are chivalrous enough to fight only those of higher level/rank than we are...DUH...why would you? And what is the difference between 1 person attacking you 10 times or 2 people attacking you 5 times ea. 10 losses are 10 losses no matter who does it.
Darren is correct in that most with a high high percentage of wins are hiders,,,so bookmark him and check back often. Eventually you will get hold of him alive. But not all players with high percentage wins are hiders, SO be careful where you step.
I have a high percentage of wins vs losses but no one could ever accuse me of hiding

Seriously, though. Why does win/loss ratio matter? Someone with high win/loss ratio could simply be picking smart fights.

It occurs to me that we're going to see this complaint more often with the new Achievement awards for battling. Unlike BPs, achievements don't depend on beating someone at or above your level. So, for example, someone could earn the Champion award by plowing through 100 Acolytes.

@ Zorg, that must be the same guy that attacked me. Lost six times in a row and then sent me an insulting pm when I went for more.
In reply to the topic, I have an earl bookmarked, he has an awesome win loss ratio, but I can beat him easily even though he is several ranks and levels above me. I try to bring his losses more in line with his defence when I can, but I have only caught him once.
I've been a "hider" and a "sniper", and once I hit the gauntlet I may start to be again after my kill/death ratio starts to tilt (then again if they fix percival before then I'll leave well enough alone -- one kill on my record is already more than I wanted, but when I get in on a monster I don't have any choice, I have to pump all of my stamina into it because of my low attack strength).
I already have an impressive win/loss ratio and part of it is from hiding. There's no rule that say's I'm a coward for attacking people until my HP hits 4-9 points then letting it regenerate naturally & attacking again every time I hit 10 hit points until I have 30 stamina before I heal and chain again. Sounds like impeccable time management skills to me
It is incredibly fun to leave my broken Percy defending and watch people chain themselves attacking me, then chain them to death when I catch them online after I get 10bps a win from them. Makes me feel all warm and fluffy, like I'm doing a community service.

If he was truly "evil" he would hit you way more than 10 times. He was probably just filling up on his daily demi points. If he battles a lot then he would automatically be under 10 health...not just because he's hiding from you LOL. Lighten up this isn't Modern Warfare 2.

OMG gimme a break. he said 10. 10 is what I do to ANYONE I find in the demi alignment I'm trying to fill. It has nothing to do with being mean. Sometimes I go to the battle page and the only Aurora person available is 2-3 battle ranks below me ... I'll still hit em for the demi points. I'm not picking on them, I'm not purposely invading to piss em off, I don't need the money cuz usually hydras pay better... my ONLY reasoning is I need 10 demi points and they are conveniently right there.
Now I'm a commander and if I have a "choice" of attacking an acolyte or a high commander I'll hit the high commander every single time cuz I want the BP's too!
bottom line: it is a battle game! IF ya don't like it go play fishtanks or Lego Batman.

Judging by his stats, I'd say he's probably not an intentional "hider". I'm a Baron of similar level, actually a bit lower. This guy is probably like me and gets chained under 10 or killed within an hour of logging off (sometimes within minutes).
I don't intentionally "hide" at low health; I log off at whatever my health is when I'm out of stamina. That can be as much as 100 if I'm fighting a monster, or as little as 0 if I'm chaining my way down the battle list. I heal when I'm low on health, and I don't try and time my heals to end with low health, but sometimes it does work out that way. Usually, though, I am open for a good number of attacks when I log off.
I log on every morning and see the notifications of people I chained scouting my keep over and over and I think that they probably feel like I sniped them, but whatever. I even used to have people leave comments like "coward hider" on my keep wall, but that doesn't happen anymore. The last time it did, I was online and questing and I healed up and let him hit me. He did, and lost 10 in a row. Then he lost 20+ more for his insolence :D
In any case, if anyone gets chained by Baron "Grifter" and goes back for revenge, only to find out that I'm not open for attack, realize that I'm not hiding from you. Keep trying, you'll get your shot at revenge. You'll probably lose, though, unless you're awesome, but you'll get your shot. Don't worry, I don't bookmark anyone.

It's good to see that the "OMG someone chained me, they're evil " posts are coming back to the forums. It's a sign that people now are battling as much as slaying monsters. Kudos to the devs for making an effort to strike a balance between different aspects of the game!
Regarding chain attacks I have to say that in my case they are the alternative to having a hit list. I used to have one, so I would take up to five hits of a single person within that list. No chaining to death, no daily harassing. I don't use that list anymore, I just go to the battle page and usually find enough targets.
Normally I hit under ten except:
- If I'm paying back to someone who has chained me. I go for the kill.
- If I find some higher rank than me. Nice BP return.
- If I'm struggling to find target of a given alignment.
I find it hard to find people who are same/higher ranking than me at my level... (Lt. General) so i would usually hit anybody who gives me BPs who are Lt commander++

Hmmm I wonder if the OP has ever chained anyone, or has he very nicely and considerately spent several hours sat infront of his PC and blown all of his stamina on finding individual targets?
If the devs didn't want people to chain there wouldn't be the "ATTACK AGAIN" button!

Hider!
(Apparently forum has a 10 character rule.)
Seriously, though. Why does win/loss ratio matter? Someone with high win/loss ratio could simply be picking smart fights.
Win/loss ration clearly does not matter.
The only eveidence of hiding is if the loss counter never moves yet the win counter constantly rises and the player is always below 10 health.
Even then it is possible to be attacked and win and be knocked under 10 health. Hence to prove that someone is a hider ( and as I said who cares ??) is impossible.
The OP should not be posting unsubstantiated allegations.

I just want you all to know that I am very jealous of your situation. It sounds like you all a have a plethora of targets at your Battle Rank or higher to chose from. I too can recall the days when I would go to the Battle Field and everyone on it was my rank or higher, but no longer. I recall a time when I attacked someone I would win 12, 10, or 8 BPs, but no longer. In my daily collection of the required 50 demi point I'm lucky if I collect 30 BPs in the processes. Rarely as of late, I earn 0 BPs more often then 1 BP per attack. That's because there is no one close to me in rank on my Battle Field. So if I am fortunate enough to run across someone who would give me 3 BPs you better believe I'm going to collect as many BP as they have to give regardless of if I need the demi points or not.

Not everyone goes for high BP's, I know I take things slowly and often times will battle against lower ranked players to earn BP's at a slower pace. You can win your achievements this way and not make yourself a larger target. Besides, most of the higher ranked players have been picked clean, if your trying to earn BP's one must get them from where ever they can and if that means tooling on lower ranked players then so be it....your getting tooled on.

No not at all. I was actually trying to convey that fact that not all of us have the luxury of picking and choosing which higher ranking individual to attack. I was also trying to address the complaint I often read on this forum by lower ranking individuals who are always whining about a higher ranking individual who always attack them, a lower ranking individual. There are times when the only choice a high ranking player has available is to them is to attack or not to attack regardless of one's battle rank. I chose to attack

If you are a Baron at level 62, you are going to get chained left and right once you hit the gauntlet. I just chained a lvl 82 Baron, who first hit me and lost. He gives me 17 big BP's and I probably will continue to chain him solely of his high rank :)

I have got the funniest set of e-mails from a player ever on this subject, I cant post them coz what he claimed to have done to my mother (front and back;) ) was just unreal, I posted the ones I could on my wall for my army to read and the vote was to chain him, I e-mailed him nicely explianing the sitiation and that for every e-mail I recieved he would have 100 lash's added to his punishment, he kept sending more and more until his lash's were 800, I left him at about 150 odd lash's given coz I had another peep to sort out, I checked the first guys keep a couple of days back and he's quit the game!!!!

I'm only a 122 Lt General and I rarely hit any single target more than 5 times. Moving up quickly in battle ranks is not a priority for me, but I tend to target the highest ranking Demis alignment I need at the time. If that means I hammer some level 82 soldier for lack of a better target of that alignment, then so be it.
It's a game, we all get our butts handed to us at some point. I don't get pissed if some level 213 Baron chains me because it's just part of the game, and I'm pretty sure he isn't out looking for 122 Lt. Generals to chain in the first place. I was just the best target at a given moment in all likelihood.

This same guy who says he wants me to leave him alone has paid to change his game name to "Sir TomASS" (fitting, I think!) and tried to chain me again. He lost again. I retaliated (AGAIN).

Why do people have such an affinity for whining about how others play the game? Figure out a time that your attacker isn't hiding, or alternatively just freaking drop it; you didn't lose any battle points, you lost some paltry sum of money, the person isn't randomly stalking you or doing anything offensive, the attacks literally have done absolutely no harm to your character or your character development ... you're the only one in the wrong here, for posting a link in the forums (note that I don't care at all that you removed it; you posted it in the first place and that's not okay).
As a chain attacker myself, my personal preference is to -not- hide, as the losses from taking a few hits back aren't too bad and I think it's fun to let those I attack attempt to retal me. About 30-40% of them fail miserably and sometimes repeatedly, and maybe half the rest lose at least some of the time. I'm also way more brutal than the guy you ran into. There are only a few really good targets in my level and ranking tier so I have to hit the ones I find very hard. I usually go back and chain people a lot of different times over multiple days/weeks, though I do try to vary my targets (have well over 100 bookmarks set at this point). I've done over 25 attacks at one time to people before (yay for people who pray to Aurora and yay for the tools the Devs gave us to keep the attacks flowing) and even had one epic fightfest with a dueler where BOTH of us gained battle ranks in the middle of it lol (and then he lost his back). In the space of under 10 minutes, I successfully invaded him over 90 times and he successfully dueled me about 30 or so lol.
I get the sharp end of the sword sometimes too. There's a guy in nobility tier who's been repeatedly invading me daily despite my 501 army, and good for him! He found me at some point and is taking advantage, and why wouldn't he with such slim pickings of non-hiders at high rank + our level range? I'm hoping I have a nice surprise in store for him pretty soon, as I'm saving up money to buy a bunch of soldiers and magic at once to see if I can cut the small gap that's between us =D. I'd usually scoff at such a tactic and suggest just buying them as they're available, but he's far enough ahead of me that I need to make a big impact all at once, and I'm not harming my strat by saving up the money as currently new land purchased takes over 1700 hours to pay for itself and no one else other than this guy has ever successfully invaded me (the losses I do have are to duelers). Then again, my nice surprise might be all for naught and he'll keep wiping the street with me. Regardless, it's fun to find a strong opponent.
Anyway, losing battles generally isn't doing you any harm (sometimes minimal harm from the small amount of bp lost); it's a fun part of the game and a good source of motivation to improve your character! Try changing your outlook, taking a step back, and enjoying all aspects of the extremely fun game we all get to play.

Eh although hitting people who gives me no bp isn't my kind of thing but when I just need to waste that extra stamina before I level or when I really need a certain demi I don't waste time looking for a target. Even a squire would do and yes I'm a baron. It's hard to be choosy when you're in a rush and the battle list insists on giving you low ranking players.

To the OP: It is how the game works... deal with it.
